I had the pleasure of seeing Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee playing on a number of occasions at Le Hibou coffee house in Ottawa in the late 60's/early 70's. Magical! I'm gonna work on this riff with the help of this excellent video.

I love Sonny Terry music. He was the musician who got me to love Blues music, and made me want to play the harmonica. It's thanks to you and a few others that keep his memory alive through his music, long may it continue. Please keep passing those skills on. We owe you so much, thank you Adam.

Thank you Adam, for dumbing down the complexities of playing one of these little tin sandwiches so simple minds like mine can actually figure it out! I’ve been watching a lot of harp tutorials online and NOBODY holds a candle to you in the teaching department. No doubt you have enhanced the playing of SO many of us with your selflessness. Please know how appreciated you are!

I never found this video when I was a teenager listening to Sonny Terry and trying to learn harmonica! Should I start again? 😲
(At some points I think it would be better to show the pulls and blows without the harmonica in the lips. Then it is easier to hear the rhythym with the tongue. Without the sound as well I mean.)
