This was, by far, the best underwater video on the lures you covered ... I love how you mix the underwater with the actual on the water experience. It really shows us how to work the baits.
I really like the underwater tests. It shows real life action of the lures. I would like to see you test them on fish catches for the reaction and hookup percentages. Great videos.
Your underwater bait series are superior to all others on the internet. I appreciate the effort and work you all put into these videos. Extremely helpful. Look forward to more.
This is an incredible video and obviously took a huge amount of time to produce, edit and download.
I loved that it compared some baits that I have wanted to use more than I have.. already use the Spark Shad the most.
The underwater footage was awesome. Going to a football field for casting distances was very clever.
I watch a ton of fishing videos and this is one of the best I've seen this year... great job
Well done! I like how you went out and showed us on the water of using the lure in several ways. Keep these up!
The sleeper gill is an absolute hammer!!!!!!
One of the best underwater videos I've seen. Very detailed and I really liked the casting segment at the end. Thank you!
Awesome, state of the art presentation! The initial summary is a great technique. This is the way to format informational videos. I reckon that's Jonny's contribution.
Nice job with the over view and comparison of those 3 baits.
Awesome analysis of the 3 lures.
Hot dayum. This was the most comprehensive lure test in real world situations. Great job
Very scientific, I'm highly impressed with how you did the testing and how you presented the results!
Really, really enjoyed this video. Especially the casting distance comparison on the football field.
Excellent video. I've been thinking about those Sleeper Gill since I saw Randy's video. I'm definitely gonna pick some of those up.
Excellent. No UA-cam channel provides this type of technical information.
Most thorough bait test video ever…the new standard to beat. Absolutely excellent job fellas. I wanna get some! You guys will make a lot money with this quality of video.
Wonderfully comprehensive. Go Jimmy, great job
Loved it! Thanks for sharing. At 1:10 I was ready for you to say then at last “I will finally explain the nickel defense”🤣 or something from your 🏈 world:-)
🍺Thoroughly enjoyed that video and greatly appreciate the time and effort it takes to make. 🍺Visually being able to see the baits in action for me is a huge plus in encouraging someone to purchase a particular bait. Job well done.👍
Very well done video. Thank you
JIMMY......you brought me back to Fish the Moment! Two Thumbs up!
Well done and we’ll thought out tests and information! I am looking forward to more of these videos!
I really liked how you did this video. I know it took a lot of effort. Thanks!
That was cool video bud. Like to see these as long as they stay away from hours of dead space. This one was good.
This was a great video. I have recently bought the dark sleeper and the sleeper gill. I was very reluctant to throw them into laydowns. After watching the underwater footage, I realize I was wrong. I'm going to try them out in the laydowns and see what happens. Thanks for the efforts you put in to this footage. Its great to see how a bait looks underwater.
Great job on the testing video. Yes! You absolutely have been missing out if you haven’t been throwing the Dark Sleeper for LM or Spots! The only lure I have caught more with the last 3 summers is a Jig. Also, I really do well slow swimming the sparkshad/underspin right on the bottom. I believe it’s the unique sound the blade makes on the rocks that doesn’t sound like any other bottom bait. Haven’t been able to get my hands on the sleeper Gill in a color I want yet but looking forward to it. Again, enjoyed the video.
Great video. I have yet to catch on my sleeper gill and dark sleeper but this video definitely gave me more knowledge. I’ll give it a try this weekend. Thanks!
Great video Jimmy! You're really starting to catch a liking from us fans.
Very nice and informative video Jimi!!! I need to get one of the FTM hats!!!
How could I not give this video a thumbs up great video man it must have took a long time to do this
You do a good job. Really enjoy your test videos. Thanks
Great job Jimi. Enjoy your video. Keep it up.
I am really impressed with the sleeper gill.
This is incredibly detailed and helpful info. Well done!
Great video. I really liked the casting tests.
I think this is really well done. Very informative and useful!
Great video thanks and good fishing
Wow what a great video. Thanks
Loved it! Great job!
Good work as usual.

You really spent a lot of time thanks for you info
Great content and video quality
Really good video with excellent content.
Very well done video thank you
Good video, well done.
Thanks for all the information!!
Great video ++
great stuff thank you for the information!
Great job!!!
Great video bro!
Nice test.
Its really kewl to see how far off the color of baits are underwater. Real fish have transparent reflective properties underwater which you dont realize once the fish is out of the water! Bait companies have not been able to mimic such properties, but when they figure it out, LOOK OUT!
Fantastic video
Thanks for the detailed low down on these baits. I do own the gill. Got through the Mistery Tackle box. It’s in the boat but haven’t used it yet. I’m excited to use it on my local lakes and will try it on Guntersville in late September.
Any tips where to use it on Guntersville would be appreciated. Lol
Excellent!! Please show me more!
Here is the biggest tip ever. Just fish them because they work. If I had to pick one of the 3 it's the dark sleeper all day.
Love these videos. Can't wait to see more underwater comparisons. When watching the hopping videos with the Sleeper Gill, I wondered if anyone made something like this that would roll over on the fall. The Sleeper Gill seems to always keep an upright profile and does a great job of looking like a live bream. But if it would somehow roll to the side as it is falling down, it would look more like a struggling dying fish.
I'd like to hear a bit more about casting these baits into the wind when you do more casting reviews. Maybe you need to add a wind tunnel to your testing budget ;-). It would be nice to know if a bait tends to tumble or spin when thrown hard into the wind or not. I find it hard to predict this based on the lure profile and a little bit of tumble or spin really kills casting distance.
Glad you enjoyed. We will start saving from that wind tunnel haha. But for real, we will try the casting test on a windy day next time.
Good job!
that's interesting dude!
nice you jointed the FTM channel
Excellent
wondering why u dont like them in stained water piles? great stuff, thx
Thanks.
mike swofford great video
Not completely sold yet on the sleeper gill, but the dark sleeper is a killer
Really good show. You didn't throw Jonny in the water did you? Really quality underwater footage, it's not easy. I fish the dark sleeper on rocky points for smallies, let it sink to the bottom than retrieve an inch or so off the bottom bumping into a rock now and then. Jigging it only if that's the way they want it. Haven't fished the gills yet. Way up here the whether has been so messed up! Extended winter, a one week spring and rain & wind nearly everyday. This past week is a perfect example, Monday was dry then it's rained everyday since. Full blown thunderstorm's. At this point I want a refund on my fish'n license.
I would like to also hear about the line and rod being used for each technique. Were these tests done only in lakes or could we employ them in rivers as well? I want to commend all of you guys for your great work!
So that’s great but which caught the most?
Thumbs up 👍🏻
Man. I want a sleeper gill. But I bank fish. And I've lost too many dark sleepers on that crappy "dorsal fin weed guard". I hope the sleeper gill weed guard is substantially better. They are too expensive to be losing all the time.
Both the gill and dark are not even close to weedless.
Please test it in your local lake I wat to know if it really catches fish..
Unfortunately all sleepergills in every color are out of stock until October!
And people in south eastern VA are just screwed ya can’t drag a Crankbait or a swimbait across the bottom like that bc everyone of our lakes are covered in slimy grass haha sometimes you get lucky and find some spots of hydrilla with patches of just sandy bottoms
I have a great idea for a lake challenge. Instead of the 15lb challenge, have a non pro fisherman who never used LiveScope, fish against Randy. A lot of people think LiveScope takes the skill out of fishing. If this is true LiveScope should help the non pro beat Randy, or will LiveScope lose.
I find that the pool color is distracting?
The sleeper gill is not nearly as easy to cast for distance as the dark sleeper never fished the underspin. The gill can spiral and get hit by wind..the dark sleeper is a bullet.
Good video but really sad when you say it is the most comprehensive underwater swimbait test video ever and then we see immediately all you are doing is selling Megabass. There was a time I expected and received more from this channel.
We compare baits from all brands in our videos. In this particular video, we wanted to test the new Megabass Sleeper Gill and the Dark Sleeper because Jimi and I never throw them. We added the spark shad to keep the brand consistent across the test and also tried to highlight the epic swimbait head, a local company in our area we love. If you watch any of our other videos, you will see we are not pushing a single brand and try to showcase products in all price ranges.
These are the current rage, I’m very interested in this content. You really opened my eyes
@@FishtheMoment I have watched plenty of your other videos already. That is why I was disappointed to see the video after seeing the title. "The Most Comprehensive Swimbait Video" It is hardly comprehensive if it only includes three swimbaits from one manufacturer. You point is well made and I understand it I just don't appreciate crazy titles that don't try to even fulfil the offer. Honestly, would you call that the most comprehensive swimbait video?
Channel sucks without Johnny. I gone
I have never caught a fish on any of these baits, I think they are a gimmick
To be honest I much rather see more anglers be truthful as to what baits universally instead baits that work on their tournament trails. For instances shad isn't in all bodies water or lakes & new anglers or novice anglers truly aren't aware of that. So many ended waisting money on both a bait & color that they won't catch fish on and is useless unless they are able to fish those colors & baits in those regions.. something pro's should really consider before making there videos.
The music adds nothing and made me go to a different vid. I have quit watching a lot of people I like because of music I didn't want to hear and will add you to the list if it keeps up.
Great job!
