What I use that works really well to cut the holes is a steak knife. It pulls the threads really randomly giving it a natural finish. Cheaper alternative!

Scissors would work a lot better for the distressing. I tried it, and it did give the cuts straight lines, but after a wash, it gave it a natural fraying.
This is the best distressing DIY ever, everyone else just use scissors and a sheet of sand paper.
He's not the first doing it with a rotary tool on UA-cam tho

Hey! I was wondering in order to layer your tees what size should the undershirt be. I usually wear small but i decided to buy some metallica tees in a sz medium does that mean i should buy the sz large undershirts to give it that layering look.
Yea a medium wouldn't look bad, but you can also find some long fitting shirts at h&m which are perfect for layering
Just get a longline tee for layering

I don't think that they turned out that great, i think thats because it's just like a square rip in the knee. It also doesn't like has that kind of an "stringy" efekt to it wich the fear of god ones have. I think i've done a better job. I think i did them about 1 month ago.

You should post a video of you're own than, getting as close to a fog type distress is very detailed and I can use all the guidance I can get.
