  • Why Your Dog is Stiff and Painful From Playing in the Snow
It is not uncommon for me to have an influx of new dog patients or existing dog patients that come in more frequenting during the winter months. Sometimes this is due to ice conditions but most of the time it's from the dog playing in the snow.
After a good snowfall, owners bring their dogs in for chiropractic adjustments because they are stiff and have ongoing pain.
It could be a new injury or a reaggravation of an existing condition. Nonetheless, Dr. Adam quickly explains why some dogs get pain and stiffness after playing in the snow.

Thank you SO much for this video. We finally just had our big snow for the season and after a hard play and a short nap our Lab woke up almost crippled. I was in a panic until I found this. A few days of heating pads and controlled walks and she’s back to normal. We’ve added Cosequin and daily stretching as an additional precaution. Thanks again!
