Step 1 : Get Birth Registration Certificate from your council
Step 2 : Get Birth Registration Certificate from HCI London
Step 3 : Apply for Indian passport
Step 4 : Apply for VISA - dependent visa
Documents required for Council Registration:
Baby's red book
Parents' passports or birth certificates
Documentation confirming any change of name, such as a deed poll (if applicable)
Parents' marriage / civil partnership certificate (if applicable)
A recent utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill
Spelling of all baby's names

Original & copy of the birth certificate of the child.
Declaration form dully signed by both parents.
Original & copy of the passport of both the parents.

Appointment confirmation letter.
Online application form. Two recent photographs (2 inch X 2 inch) with clear white background.

Getting birth certificate from council is not a long process. But after that you need to apply for passport and then visa.
Birth certificate from council u will get on the same day u visit.

Hi Puja, My wife is on Student Visa and I am on Dependant Visa and our child was born on December 2023 and our Visa will expire on Jan 2024,
We came to UK on September 2023. My Wife has completed her studies and we are going to apply for PSW visa now.
I have registered the baby in UK few days before and got the birth certificate. Do I need to apply for dependent visa for my child now because the passport process for her is going to take a long time and our visa will expire by then. What will be her status then and currently do we need to apply for her too?
As your wife will apply for psw so you all will have two years in hand in the mean time you apply for your dependent visa and apply for the passport of the baby.
You can also consult Indian embassy in uk they are helpful

We took the graduate visa but not for our baby due to some financial difficulties. Unfortunately, NHS are charging the fee for our baby on each appointment.
Is it possible to pay only ihs fee or is it required to pay both visa and ihs fee.
Also, is there any possibility to pay only one year ihs fee and remaining later

I am on skilled worker visa (Pakistan Passport). For my new born baby, I am having long delays to get a passport. My understanding is that for new born baby (born in UK), I can apply for the UK-visa without passport to have access to NHS services (after 3 months of baby being born). Please confirm.

I am not very sure about child citizenship process.
As far I know to get child citizenship by birth anyone of the parents need to be a British citizen with British passport

To register in India
First make birth certificate in uk in your local council office. Once you get birth certificate from uk you need to apply through embassy for birth certificate in India.
Even you can call in the embassy and ask about the process.
Once birth certificate is done then apply for passport.
