Watched this 4 months ago and rewatching this again. Even with all these fires constantly showing lithium batteries as the source, and yet, we still see these fires cropping up all over the place. Ya think people would learn from scenes like this

You can always tell when the fire gets to the cleaning supply section by the pop of the pressure cans.....

At one supermarket fire that I was in,as a MOS, before the truss roof collapsed back in the early '70's , the cans filled with propellant were projectile shooting out from the structure and landing across the street from the fireground buildings which had extended to 7 strip mall exposures.

Skylar great video awesome job of showing the whole scene. As far as the e bikes these things need to go away. There has been life's ruined cause of these things. People that store these things improperly an incident like this occurs should face severe repercussions. Alot of people just lost there jobs cause of this. Hopefully all injured will recover fully. Brothers operating at the box.Wear you gear ,Thousands of gallons of water with a heavy fire load as this required full PPE . Battalion aids put a helmet on ,and your place is next to your chief facing the fire building .Safety chiefs,access conditions in the exposures before having members operating from the roof.With the volume of fire and water RESPECT THE COLLAPSE ZONE . Lastly Commissioner wear a helmet and coat .If Tom ,did so should you Safe Tours Brothers 🙏

Those damn batteries have got to have cost the FDNY billions on these responses. Not to mention the losses to the businesses, apartment buildings. The insurance payments must be astronomical. The city council needs to make some laws to stop this madness.

Yes they do but that's not the same. They are UL approved. It can be simple as a good battery but a bad charging cord.

Our politicians want us to all use Lithium batteries. Both ways they are destructive. 1: To the environment through the extraction process 2: When they catch on fire.

Aftermarket batteries or it can be a UL approved battery but using a faulty cord, aftermarket cord can cause this!

why 60-70% of the man power that has been called is just standing around? I just started viewing this channel and in every vid I see the same thing, and overkill of trucs and manpower called to every fire and most of them just watch, i don't understand the idea :))

What you mean that many people? By the 3rd alarm they went defensive operations. It had double ceilings the fire moved fast into the exposure which they couldn’t get ahead of the fire. They did a great job.
Some are assigned to RIT (rapid intervention team) basically fire fighter rescue team, Some are on deck waiting for assignment or to swap out for rehab, some are specialists like radio communications or drone operators, some are hazmat monitoring the air, and then there is EMS who literally just stands by to watch until they are needed, so alot of different assignments that may give off the belief that they are not doing anything
