I hate how they brought this scrapped mechanic in the remaster. There was a damn good reason why this was scrapped the first time. Maybe don't bring it back. Or if you are going to do that, either give it a toggle or make it exclusive to the hard difficulty.
I played the heck out of the original Quake 2 since release. I don't have this remaster, but after watching some videos on youtube, I think the studio (MachineGames?) should have made the weaker Strogg do more quick shooting, if they haven't already done so, especially for Hard or Nightmare modes. This includes less delay animation when they get shot, so that they'll be able to recover faster from getting shot & they could shoot at you again before you reload. That would make them a tiny bit more relevant since they are/were the most prevalent characters in the maps. I'm talking more about the Guards, Enforcers & Gunners. And I also wished the Gunner's grenade lobs were a bit more smarter & geometrically precise in their trajectories, such as when they lob at you up the stairs but the lobs are too low so the grenades bounce off the steps & back to him etc. The Berserker jumps are nice though & hopefully they will fix some of that if they haven't already.
Berserker went from joke of an enemy in vanilla to a living nightmare in remaster.
I've seen one do his leap attack but he bonked his head on a bridge and fell into lava. 😂

Does the 'enhanced' monster AI work in the RTX version of quake 2? I've been playing that, and the berserkers sure don't jump around like THIS....

That area of effect. It's basically just me saying "wow, the area of effect on that attack (the Berserker's slam attack) is really large."

Yep. Changing your multiplayer character model to a female model will enable them.
