That lady gave me deep Abaloth vibes.
Nice work
This is fantastic a 10/10 the only thing I didn't like was the mention of "The First Order"because people rightfully assume it's a reference to Disney Canon and literally nobody wants that
Although you technically could think of "The First Order" as the first sith order and be talking about Sith like Tulak Hord, Freedon Nad, Marka Ragnos and many others
Really like your story line, really enjoyed the flash back with the master, favorite scene! Nice job!
Sith Force Ghost gives out Dark Rey vibes in this, She even looks like Rey. Actually maybe Rey should’ve been a Sith in the Sequels.
Good work!
I know that George Lucas always intended the Force to be in balance only when the Jedi are around, but after seeing Ep 7 in theaters I thought about the Force like something that simply exists and the balance exists when nobody uses it as a tool (Jedi) or even a weapon (Sith).
Also because of the mere existence of Ep 7... we had balance in Ep 6.. why there's no more in Ep 7?
And I loved what Luke said in Ep 8, proving that the Force cannot be used, otherwise balance would fail and I hoped that was the twist for the Skywalker Saga .
Of course they did not follow that road, instead they created a new status quo where Evil can emerge again.
That being said, if I understand well the intention of your short film, you wanted to plant that seed of knowledge, but the end puts some doubts on those informations, making all of that non 100% certain truth and I liked that because the viewer can choose his/her own truth... from a certain point of view 😅
I'm Italian, sorry if I made myself not clear with my English.
And again, with Obi-Wan Kenobi: Good Job! (But I really mean that ahah)
As Grand Moff Tarkin says: "That was quite a impressive display."
The Story you crafted here is beautiful yet strange the Jedi mentions that the Sith were extinct since the Fall of the First Order, perhaps in your Timeline Luke's Jedi Order was able to survive and in that Flashback where Kay sees the death of his master yet even with the losses this Jedi was able to rally the New Republic and defeat the First Order and its Allies in the Sith Eternal, perhaps that Flashback should be where the story should continue
This would have been great if it didn't mention the damn "First Order" at 4:49, But no, you just have to mention Disney SW....
Could have had him mention Darth Krayt's Sith Empire from the Expanded Universe 'Legacy' comics.
(Sorry if that sounds bitchy. I do like your fan film, the acting and animation are great as is the story. I just don't understand the need for fan projects to reference or be set in the world Disney SW)
Well done! The concept of balance of the light side and the dark side is always been core to
the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith. I thought the conflict was over after Vader killed Palpatine on Death Star 2, but with Episode 7: The Force Awakens, and Episode 8: The Last Jedi, we know that Luke started a Jedi training academy; shown from the flashback as he told Rey about that he trained Ben, but he turned to the dark side and he burned the place, and joined Snoke. Luke though it necessary to re-establish the Jedi Order and train Force sensitives, if the Sith were to return. Clearly they did, so he was right, to do so.
With your short movie, you have Kay having gone to this planet to seek out the power that was calling to him to get answers to his questions. Being the last Jedi in the galaxy, he would
have some issues, given his master has died. The twist of the Force Ghost having been a Sith and not a Jedi was really cool! I didn't see that one coming, as only Jedi have been depicted
as being able to appear as Force ghosts. It's good Kay didn't take up her offer to join her. I think is well written, animated and the voice acting is quite good. Excellent short fan film!
❄️
Very nicely animated, and great voice acting...But...I'm really not understanding why so many are believing in this new idea of balance in the Force. There's not automatic light and dark side. There's only the Force, the dark side are those corrupting it.
Like water, there's no version of water that's naturally dirty, it had to become dirty by an outside source or person.
It's just further stretching away from Lucas' vision of the Force. Like how he never used Light Side in any of his works.
