Thanks for the weigh-in. In case you're interested, the pounds per hp tell a good tale of power differences if you just consider stock, advertised hp. The M2 is 3800/453=8.4 lbs/hp and the Golf R is 3420/315=10.9 lbs/hp. Most any car under 10 lbs/hp is very fast. Of course both BMW and VW underrate their horsepower figures.
According to my registration, my 2016 Golf R weighs about 3250 lbs. That's because it's manual, no sunroof, and probably has less safety-related equipment (being 8 years old). With an APR Stage 2 tune, the car is completely bonkers!
I'm a motorcycle guy BUT there are times I need a car. I just purchased the 2024 Golf R / manual. Your channel is entertaining. I appreciate "mods." Every bike I own has been modified. I am loving the Golf R and have done everything ("mods") anyone seems to know how to do with the 2024 R. Window tinting, black forged wheels, hood lift. For motorcycles, every ounce counts because the rider needs to control that weight. Cars??? Come on now! I can save weight by going on a diet. It won't effect how I am able to get the car to perform.
I just weighed both of my aftermarket wheels with tires. Both are 245/35/19×8.5. Bremmer Kraft is 45lbs, the Alzors are 52lbs. The Audi stock wheels with 235/35/19×8 are 50lbs.
@@JVette01 oh shoot can’t believe I missed it! 😂. Ok so from the dig the R had it up to 90 mph then the M2 just blew by. And then on the rolls the M2 just flexes on the R. Unreal power in that M2!
Thanks for weighing them. I need to find my carbon package weighs, maybe 44lbs less than yours. Lightweight wheels, maybe i can get 37XXlbs

That would be interesting. Sunroof would make it heavier but manual makes it lighter so I'd say around the same.

Golf R is pretty reasonably light given that its AWD and not totally barebone inside (lot of features).

A stripped out car can make a difference. But that's for real serious racers.
