I feel for you brother. I had 15k into my scion xb’s system. Never been in an accident before. Got rear ended two years ago and never got reimbursed for the system. I have a attorney and we’re fighting to get even a part of it back. Shit hurts. That was my life. I bought each piece over the span of 5 years to get where I was at😢
Friend of mine got rearended severa years ago. The medical team that showed up told him that the stereo system actually saved his sons life. The majority of the impact was absorbed by the enclosure, that was assembled in the trunk due to its size, which stoped the vehicle from folding like a tin can

I feel that. I had multiple custom cars I built for myself and others that were destroyed from bs accidents. It definitely took the desire away. I try to not get too carried away on builds anymore.

Glad jarred is ok . Dam that terrible. I live in michigan ,an every state is different when it comes to coverage. My insurance told me to call them an put an access amount of coverage on for personal properties. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully, some of it can be salvaged .
It looks like the impact was absorbed by the box and amp rack going by how the rear bumper is touching the rack so maybe that saved him from suffering severe injury? We will never know for sure but it sure looks that way
You always hear stories about how the box actually kept more damage from entering the actual vehicle compartment. If there was anybody in the back seats that could have been much worse. Glad he's ok and upright.
im glad he is ok...the car is in bad shape...the speakers and amps might be damaged...BUT THEY ARE MATERIAL THINGS and can be replaced or repaired....YOU ONLY GET ONE LIFE...he is blessed that he is alive...thank GOD

I'm super glad he is okay. Everything can be replaced, but Jared!! I do feel this pain very well. I had a truck driver make an illegal left in a right turn only as I was coming around a curve. That was back in July 23'. Crushed from the windshield to the b pillars and lost the whole front system, I've talked about this car to you Steve in a few comments. I went under the trailer if anyone is wondering. I just rebuilt another car, just about finished with it. Just a 2003 altima. My wife and I walked away from it and I'm thankful for it. I'm glad he walked away from it to ❤

Same thing happened to me a few years back. Had a great honda pilot PAID OFF with an 18” RE Audio SX in tye back. Fool texting and driving rear ended me doing 45 while i was at a stand still. Completely crushed the amp rack and sub box and totaled the car. Im now stuck with a car payment and no 18”… i feel for you brother!

The shitty thing is insurance will never pay for the system. Got hit head on by a wrong way driver and they wouldn't cover mine even the lawyers couldn't get them to pay. With receipts and all.

Oh damn. Similar thing happed to a car we sold to a friend. It happend 10 days after it was sold, insurance didn't want to cover. Car was totaled. The only thing I could help with was to rip what I could get out while at the tow yard. She did get paid. Glad he was OK. Hopefully, insurance will fix it. Send them all the documentation. If you have to, hire a lawyer.
He can fight it and win. I had to do the same for my son. His equipment wasn't even damaged, but they totaled out the truck and wouldn't let us have anything installed in it. I pointed out the costs of everything installed. I told them they can let me take it all out or they're going to pay us for it. After some back and forth for over a week, they paid us, MSRP too, not what was actually paid.

Even the door speakers have custom designed hdpe cnc rings. The time spent tuning...it's just thousands no matter how you look at it.

There is a lot of good gear in the trunk to be abandoned. It may be difficult to extract but, the amp rack and the subs can be rescued.

The box, amp, and second skin probably reinforced the rear end and helped him to walk away unscathed. Sad to that work of art end that way
