I feel for you brother. I had 15k into my scion xb’s system. Never been in an accident before. Got rear ended two years ago and never got reimbursed for the system. I have a attorney and we’re fighting to get even a part of it back. Shit hurts. That was my life. I bought each piece over the span of 5 years to get where I was at😢

Friend of mine got rearended severa years ago. The medical team that showed up told him that the stereo system actually saved his sons life. The majority of the impact was absorbed by the enclosure, that was assembled in the trunk due to its size, which stoped the vehicle from folding like a tin can
I'm Jared's Mom and so thankful he is ok. Even I cried for the car but most important the system. ,💔 Rip Altima

This accident speaks volumes about your work. That box is still in place! Some other “Builders” boxes would have been laying in the passenger seat after that kind of impact. Awesome job Steve.
Its an accident like this that took me out of car audio 17yrs ago. Put so much time and effort into something for some asshole to take it away in an instant. Just didnt want to do it anymore until just a few years ago.
I feel that. I had multiple custom cars I built for myself and others that were destroyed from bs accidents. It definitely took the desire away. I try to not get too carried away on builds anymore.

Car stereo is not important ...... What Important is that Jarred is ok and so glad he don't get hurt, 100 MPH can kill someone !!!! Car stereo will always come back to Him !!!

You always hear stories about how the box actually kept more damage from entering the actual vehicle compartment. If there was anybody in the back seats that could have been much worse. Glad he's ok and upright.
It looks like the impact was absorbed by the box and amp rack going by how the rear bumper is touching the rack so maybe that saved him from suffering severe injury? We will never know for sure but it sure looks that way

im glad he is ok...the car is in bad shape...the speakers and amps might be damaged...BUT THEY ARE MATERIAL THINGS and can be replaced or repaired....YOU ONLY GET ONE LIFE...he is blessed that he is alive...thank GOD

Glad jarred is ok . Dam that terrible. I live in michigan ,an every state is different when it comes to coverage. My insurance told me to call them an put an access amount of coverage on for personal properties. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully, some of it can be salvaged .

Insurance companies won't cover audio or many other modifications/upgrades. Hes probably going to end up having to sue the driver directly

Poor guy that really sucks… you can tell he took pride in not only his system, but his whole car. Im so sick of people watching idiots on UA-cam “cutting up” or racing on the highway and putting innocent lives at risk. It could’ve been way worse honestly… I’m a 100% car guy and love racing, but there’s a time and a place for everything. These damn takeovers are out of control and ridiculous as well. There is a lot of good gear in the trunk to be abandoned. It may be difficult to extract but, the amp rack and the subs can be rescued.
Firstly I’m glad he didn’t get hurt, secondly I hate it for anyone but he has to fight the hell out of this one, it’s bad enough that he will be out of pocket either way but he at least has to end up in another vehicle with a nice setup, ugh!!! I'm super glad he is okay. Everything can be replaced, but Jared!! I do feel this pain very well. I had a truck driver make an illegal left in a right turn only as I was coming around a curve. That was back in July 23'. Crushed from the windshield to the b pillars and lost the whole front system, I've talked about this car to you Steve in a few comments. I went under the trailer if anyone is wondering. I just rebuilt another car, just about finished with it. Just a 2003 altima. My wife and I walked away from it and I'm thankful for it. I'm glad he walked away from it to ❤
Insurance won't pay for the system especially if it's claimed as total loss. I work in the Autobody industry and experienced these situations
I remember you putting that system in. It's been 3 - 4 already? That time went by so fast. The insurance scammers, ooops, companies suck. I hope he gets every penny deserved out of them. Their client was really irresponsible.

The box, amp, and second skin probably reinforced the rear end and helped him to walk away unscathed. Sad to that work of art end that way

I had the same thing happen, I got really lucky though, my amps were attached to the rear seats.
That really sucks, but looking at the amp rack it was really sturdy, sure the amps are bent and the box pushed in but didn't look so bad looking at the trunk frame

Insurance Ha!! They will say all that aftermarket car audio wasn’t in it from factory, they won’t cover it . Insured till something happens! They’ll nit pick it apart! Hopefully they’ll total it so he can start over fresh! Keep ya head up my friend!

I know that pain after all the money I dumped into my first car was always changing stuff around in it was gonna wall it after my paint job was done but someone decided to steal my car and total it I ripped out what I could and sold it I was pretty upset when I couldnt get my Gately audio box out the trunk since It had braly fit in it before so after the wreck the trunk was smashed down enough to where the box wouldnt clear. Now im braly getting stuff for my car trying to get back to where I was
He can fight it and win. I had to do the same for my son. His equipment wasn't even damaged, but they totaled out the truck and wouldn't let us have anything installed in it. I pointed out the costs of everything installed. I told them they can let me take it all out or they're going to pay us for it. After some back and forth for over a week, they paid us, MSRP too, not what was actually paid.
Man that sucks. At least he’s okay.
