THANK YOU for your review! I too, am a bassist as well as vocalist. I've been researching affordable EIM systems. I was ready to give up due to reviews on poor bass reproduction & (limiter like) drop outs of other units.I discovered your review on Thursday 9/16. Then I began searching for an available stateside (US) unit. Otherwise, I would be waiting until November for a shipment. On Friday-9/17, I found one! To my surprise, USPS delivered my S3 yesterday-9/20!!! Here @ home, I was able to run my active Pavel Aryel 5 through a SansAmp BBDI (into left input) along with a vocal mike through a Helicon vocal EFX + Ross Personal monitor (into right Input). I set my receiver to focus & adjusted a volume mix between the bass / vocal mike.... WOW!!! This system sounds incredible to me! I use 64 Quad custom molds. Unfortunately, due to an episode of meningitis, I lost total hearing in my right ear four years ago. I no longer have the enjoyment of experiencing stereo. My worship team uses SHURE EIM's. I've never enjoyed using their EIMs due to interference / drop outs. (the sound engineer has the transmitters located @ the balcony soundboard station instead of on stage). As a result, I have gotten permission to use my bass rig & a floor monitor. I'll have a rehearsal with my 80's rock / dance band this weekend. I'm looking forward to putting the S3 to use!
I was very interested in this unit and ready to purchase but availability in the states would take 30 days till delivery. I purchased another unit but wish the S3 had been more readily available.
Thanks for this video I have just purchased LD systems MIe 100 G2 and I know alot of these systems are similar, I sing and play guitar and lead Worship. In church we use Sennhisser in ear, my LD systems has a better range looking forward to using these. Your attention to detail is excellent every blessing to you. I have subbed you look forward to more vids.
hey bro, its been a while since you posted this so hopefully you still looking at these comments. Firstly Cheers for the in depth review. Im next door in australia and have been trying to work out which frequency range i should be buying. Would you advise the 600 here too? Thanks!!
Hello, I have a quick question for anyone with this unit. Have you guys experienced any random loud pops? I can't figure out what's causing it. I've contacted them via email and phone with no success.
This unit lasted 1 day. The belt pack picked up white noise from my shure qxld beta 58 microphones irregardless of channel settings. Miserable in that environment. Returned after 3 hour test. Sennheiser G4 works great.
Sound like you may have just had a faulty belt pack. I've been using these units for years alongside the sennheiser G4 mics and wireless ear systems. As well as cheaper line 6 wireless mics, never had any issues.
@@GroundbreakCreative pack sounded great but failed in certain proximity locations. Was certainly the pack. Poor quality control in the best case. Bought a sennheiser unit. Cheap isn't always as good.
Hi, thank you so much for your video. I'm also a bass player and I really liked it because you demonstrated the bass sound in your video to get an idea. In your opinion the S3 is much superior to the S2? Because I ended up buying an S2 and I thought that the sound of my bass was very damaged, it lost a lot of quality and I decided to give it back. A question, have you ever done any comparison of sound from S2 or S3 versus straight coming out of the soundboard with a cable to get a sense of how quality is different? Is there a lot of compression or loss of frequencies, especially at low frequencies? Another thing, my English is not the best so I may have lost it in the video, as is the limiter of this device, does it interfere too much?
Hi there, the S3 is far more superior especially on sound quality. There are also many more features (it is more expensive too though). I’ve had no problems with the limiter (that was fixed in the S2 gen2). Although they still claim it doesn’t have a limiter. That’s why I didn’t talk about it in this video. I haven’t done a side by side comparison, but I have been using the S2 models (gen1 then gen2) for many years. I noticed a significant difference in the sound quality of this unit. The audio you hear in the instrument test is run out of the sound board as I would normally run it, with a single channel. You may get even better sound running stereo channels.
Thanks for wicked review bro. I know you say they are good but are they WAY better than the S2s. I watched your review on the S2s and bought a set but I've never been able to use them as they just sound thin and rubbish to my ears and they often drop out. I'm keen to upgrade but don't want to waste money on these things if they are sort of like the S2s but just a little bit better. I listened to your review thru my Shure 535s and they certainly do sound good - As you can see, I'm dithering. If I don't like them will you buy them off me and I'll throw in a S2 unit LOL :-) Nga mihi. Just an update on that S2 comment. I went back this morning and tried them again and they aren't actually as bad as I remember. But as you point out, the bottom end is weak. So I think I'll take a punt and order some S3s thru your link :-) Cheers
Hi there, great review thank you. I currently am using the S2 and for its' price is a great little unit. Is it worth upgrading to the S3? (from your review I'd suggest it is!) as I've noticed some noise with the S2. Also, I am in Australia so could you recommend the best bandwith for here (600mhz+ I think from memory). One last request, could you do a review of the Westone AM30 in ears as they are supposed to allow ambient noise, band member and crowd voices in as my KZ's are totally sound isolating and I do feel totally removed from my band and crowd! Keep up the great work. Dale Victoria Australia
Hi there, thanks for your comment. It seems that most of the 500 and 600mhz range in Australia is taken up with TV Broadcasting, However 520-526mhz is the suggestion for wireless audio units. Is it worth upgrading, I think so, just for the extra features and improved sound Quality. I too have moved from the S2. However I cant guarantee that you'll get rid of the background noise, That could be an atmospheric thing. I had a quick look up of the Westone AM30, unfortunately they are way above my budget for in ears. The reviews I have read speak very highly of them though. I totally know what you mean about feeling isolated, that's why I always play with only one ear piece in, leaving the other ear free to hear whats happening on stage. I have read somewhere that doing this can be bad for your hearing though, something to do with the volume imbalance. There is also the option of running what's called an atmosphere mic or room mic. Basically using a large diaphragm condenser mic set up in the room or on the stage to pick up the live stage sound and send that to the in ears.
@@GroundbreakCreative Thank you for the reply! Yes I think I will go ahead with the S3 purchase and also give the Westone in-ears a go as well. I have used an in- room mic before and probably will again in bigger venues. The noise I mentioned is so infrequent it is not an issue really. Look forward to more reviews. You may have time to check out our band "Low Profile"- Traralgon Band on our Facebook page. (I'm on the left playing bass) Thanks again , Dale
@@dalesimmons7847 great I’ll check that out 👍. If you’re buying off Amazon, using the links in the description will help me out too, even if you buy the westones.
does this unit still cuts off for a few seconds after a high volume spike like the previous generation? (Anleon S2) or does it have a better recovery time than that unit?
Hi there, no that is all fixed now. The original S2 had that problem, but by the time the 2nd generation S2 came out that had been fixed. It's good in the S3 too 👍
Would be nice if you put the minutes and seconds of each part of the video. You explain really well, congrats!

For a bassist like me, need to hear those low end freq.
Yeah bass is great on these, much better than the older models. I'm a bass player too, use it with the KZ edx in ears and get really good bass.

The antenna connection is just a BNC connector.

can these be put in a rack?
They don't have rack mounts on them, but there are a couple of screws on the side you could potentially use, if you made up some rack mounts for it.
Hello,,, Indian price.?
Hi, there's an amazon link in the description. That should be able to show you a price for India.
