Phatos with Thanos is crazy. Especially with Hit-monkey/Jane Foster. On reveal reductions don’t have a minimum of one and the stones increase your reach into the deck post-Phatos. Bananas. 🙉☺️
Sersi into a Brood lane for 3 random 4 costs is a thought that just came into my head that could be a huge swing! (or 3 Attuma's) Looking forward to these cards!

Agatha doesn’t get called with other cards that add random cards to your deck/hand, helicarrier, nick fury, etc, the devs deliberately stopped her being an option, she only appears if your opponent has her and you use a mirage, cable, mantis etc
Thena is not weird. You can just play Thena T2, Angela + Kitty T3 Hope+ Kitty T4, Vision + Kitty. Thena is the typical case of people underestimate how much big numbers mean
The problem I notice stems from people asking themselves how can I slot this in my deck. I saw someone actually complain that Thena's requirements are unlikely to add as much value as people think because it involves a clunky play pattern. It's ridiculous that so many people just look at their ability to vomit their hand on turn 6 has made them not realize the game is flexible enough to support this pattern now. Thena can and will consistently be a 2/13 if played on turn 3.
this is the exact playline I had in mind too, with Sage and Nocturne in the deck, possibly Cannonball + Kitty final turn. Thena doesn't have to be buffed every turn available, even just two turns could be pretty good value.

Quinjet/Loki for sure, besides that it's possible that Adam Warlock/Magic/Crystal/Mockingbird/M'baku/Havok would fit pretty well into a deck with him, or hight evolucionist pack of cards too.

Sersi is going to have so many low rolls that have negative impact. Carnage, deathlock, Knull, multiple discards, especially Modok. Destroyer, Attuma. Mr Negative. Electro. Mystique. Dagger. Morbius.She will lose more games by herself than ones she steals. She is likely going to be a meme card for high roll videos. The point Regis made about dealing with the void is the only place I could see value. Or with Odin.
Gilgamesh is fantastic, with a Nakia and Okoye, With a Forge or Chavez for turn 1. Then do either a Shuri or Wong, Gilgamesh, then Taskmaster. It will be like printing cubes.
Honestly I think Phastos best home is with Shuri-- with Sauron he's your only other turn 3 play and buffing Red Skull in either direction is scary. Food for thought.
Super giant on tuen 4 then play Gilgamesh on 5 which isn't revealed yet and play Spectrum on turn 6!!! Gilgamesh would be/get huge! Or just play zoo or a mix of zoo and on going with Super Giant
@@coleeg69 yeah that does seem to be the bread and butter of supergiant, using absorbing man on turn 5 to double down on the 6 cost on reveal effect. Nothing like dropping a double Alioth or Doom.
Thena in a kitty list is a good idea maybe with havok or swan to be able to dump on 6 and make up for pumping thena with a dump or a bunch of free cards after playing havok on 4 or 3 to get a big havok
Always look forward to your ratings. I know you have been doing these star ratings forever, but maybe you should have two star ratings for a card... one to rate competitive viability, which you currently do, and one to rate fun factor...as not everyone is looking to sweat to the top.
Sersi is the card I've been the most excited about in Marvel ever since I started playing the game. It's such a fun concept that even losing with her seems fun to me. Anything that puts two bodies on the field will love her, but it's as you said. She's got potential to solo carry a lane but the problem will always be how do you win the other two? According to my calculations, 3 costs into 4 are the best option for Sersi, so Brood will be her best friend, along with Makkari. Next would be Ghost Rider + Black Cat but 5 costs are mostly build arounds instead of statsticks so you have bigger chances of getting a worse deal than just the two of them. I'm trying to come up with a deck centered around her with a small discard package with Black Knight, Brood and Absorbing man to be able to play her on two lanes and a turn 5 Zabu back-up for a Ghost Rider + Black Sword surprise dump on turn 6, in case I don't draw her. Can't wait for her to come home.
Thena copium: run a deck full of 1-cost and 2-cost cards, include Angela, Thena, Havok (and Bast) and scale them. You can lock your energy on 3 with Havok. (Ok this all sounds great until you don't draw these cards early enough, but maybe all 3 have enough redundancy for it?)
Sersi will fit in Anni Mockingbird decks you play your hood right, play mysterio on 2 making sure one illusion is right and Sentry on 4, then you sersi that right lane, you just made the hood into a serviceable 1 drop as well as your illusion amd your void and don't need to worry about sending them over or eating them with Carnage. Plus your Mockingbird will be really cheap.
Thena can be played t3 with kitty and shes a instant 2/4 , her effect works after the turn. Even t2 with wasp (but I dont see ppl playing wasp cuz of her), she fits perfect in angela/kitty deck
sersi i actually forsee being much better than regis thinks. there are a lot of good junk deck cards out there that transforming them will almost always be net positive power, in addition she's got great plays for savage land, shadowland, eternity range, and subterranea. having a second top end filler alongside anihilus is great especially since she allows you to flex away from the send it to their board when they've already filled up in preparation. Also works great as an anti anihilus and galactus tech taking those negative cards they sent you in a zone and transforming them into good cards
hear me out, im too lazy to do the math but this sounds good. Okoye on 2, Magik on 3, Wong mid on 4, Blue Marvel on 5, Tribunal on 6, Gilgamesh left or right on 7 then Grandmaster him into the Wong mid. This combo is very unlikely to happen but it sounds cool.
The whole time, I'm just imagining a thematic deck with all of them! Arishem affects the curve so that wonky cards like Thena and Phastos have more potential(Phastos on turn 2 to buff all those cards??👀) plus those buffs affecting Gilgamesh, and Sersi to just clean out whatever chaotic junk to make room for potentially better junk just all feels potentially synergistic. And Makaari takes care of herself👏 RIP Ikaris and Druig😭
I want to see a deck made with all of these at the end of the season. I think this season’s cards has more innate synergy than in most seasons past and it might be worth exploring an Eternals deck.

Hrm, given that I see stuff like Lizard see play as a 2/5, and your example of Angela doing some work as a 2/6, do you really need to hit more than 2 turns on Thena (getting her to 2/7) for her to feel at least like she's done work? I can see the friction in going all in on her to try to push her to 2/13 or w/e being potentially stressful, as it were, but do you *need* to do that for her to be worth including?
Dude just shit on every card. Which is crazy considering how strong this month is. Only good portion of this video was Makkari and Sersi. Thena will be the best card of the month. 1) Oftentimes I don’t draw into my Angela as soon as I want or ever. So to have that backup option helps a ton. If you power her up twice that is a 2-7. While you’re power her up you’re also powering up Angela. So you could potentially be powering up three lanes with a silky smoove deck. Angela turn 2 Thena and Kitty/Nightcrawler turn 3 Elsa and Kitty/Nightcrawler turn 4 Turn 5 and 6 whatever you want Red Hulk? Brood to fill lanes? Gilgamesh and Nova combo can be done fairly easily. Maybe Captain America, Hawkeye, Sage, Forge. Yeah you’re committing but it’s not as hard as you think.

I wonder if Phastos could work as a generic “good card” rather than a synergy card. Lower risk than Mr Negative or Pixie, but possibly enough of a reward. Even one random -1 can matter, but if your deck is mostly good already. Tossed into a Prof X/Cannonball deck, that might be good. Maybe an opponent is unprepared for 3 power Prof X. Maybe getting to play Cannonball and a second card on the last turn is what you need, rather than just Sam.
Arishem seems fun but also like, REALLY bad. There's enough ways to cheat out stuff consistently already, so trying to do it while basically getting District X'd (though still keeping your original deck) seems too volatile to be anywhere near competitive. Not to mention Darkhawk/Mystique is usually just autowinning against it, and because of all those random cards the chances of seeing a tech card to deal with those is way lower.
I'm thinking like "High evo + Arishem + quinjet + crystal + hella + lockjaw + death + Odin + onslaught " It's only beta version . But High evo + hella + quinjet + death + lockjaw+arishem =100% in deck!!!
Arishem obviously is a very fun card that everyone is looking forward too. I think Sersi might be my favorite card of the bunch. I just cant see a negative to it... The deck it goes in will be intentional for a high upside or most of all surprise cube wins. I mean like any deck obviously a Cosmo or prof X can deny it... other that that...I just can't see it being bad. I will decoy it as an Annihilus deck and win lanes... I know it's random but even if I play her on The Hood and a void... I mean the power swing on those cards can in a lot of cases can win a lane...I'm not dumb on how it can have down side but I just think it's upside is higher than average. I'm thinking of a Pixie deck already with her in it. I think it'll be sneaky good. (didn't even mention Arnim Zola shenanigans) Not necessarily tier 1 deck but a solid deck that you can climb with and have fun doing it.
Gilgamesh is a SLEEPER of a good card! Nova, chavez, the black panther cards, kitty pryde, surfer, so many different ways this card can be synergistic its insane. People shouldnt sleep on Gilgamesh i think he can be a crazy heavy hitter
Sersi is a Cosima Malaspina. Whoever played Casino Lippy in Gwent, will pull for Sersi. But this month is quite "meh". Baron was also quite "meh". I'm struggling to enjoy the game, lately.
As a word on Thena that I don't see people bringing up: Wasp exists. Any turn that you feel like you're not able to play your bigger card, is suddenly a turn where, as it turns out, maybe you can. Including on turn 2 with Thena.
The perfect Thena play will be Thena on 2, Angela and Kitty on 3, hope summers and Kitty on 4, 5 drop and Kitty on 5, 6 drop and Kitty on 6. So you do play it with Amgela but Angela is not a turn 2 play unless you did not draw your Thena.
This is looking to be a pretty disappointing month. Ill definitely get Arishem for the fun factor but nothing else seems particularly worth spending keys or tokens on. I really hope the OTA's bring some spice this month because the new cards certainly arent.
Gilgamesh is one of the worst season pass cards released, especially one so pigeon-holed like Shaw was. RIP. Looking forward to July when Arishem finally drops.
My read on Gilgamesh is a way to go tall in traditionally wide decks like most decks with kazoo and blarvel, whose biggest single card in a location was dazzler before this, running iron man to get tall sometimes. I think he'll find a home, but I don't think it will be a very good deck.
Phastos is the 1ncard I'm looking to spend keys on this month since you only get to pull on 1 card a month most times. Phastos is going to be great with Gwenpool in a shaw/panther/Zola buff deck.
Arishem seems interesting though i wish it had more power. Sersi is pushing towards RNG fiesta which i hope SD is careful with because ive quit other card games for becoming too RNG focused.
I read that Thena counts the turn she's played on, as well as herself. So t2, play Wasp and Thena, turn ends, Thena gains 3 power. Moongirl with Makkari in hand sounds fun.
I feel like Thena will be good in Hope Summers Kitty pryde decks where I always feel like I'm playing a big card and then splashing the kitty for the extra energy each turn
What if Phatos is played with Thanos which can draw more cards than usual, on a side note this is a scary thought, what if Arishem added all kinds of random cards like raptors, widows bite, widow's kiss, ninja 🤣

I could see thena in a bast shell. Bast on kitty, thena, Angela, bishop, mysterio, and iron man is all strong. Also turn 6 iron man and kitty is better than any 6 drop and buffs thena.
I see phantos as a definning card in a silver surfer deck, like 3 energy, that is gonna help sera even more letting yo potentially get more 3 drops out on turn 6 or potentially get some crazy combos off
Our boy sleeping on these cards. I think all of them are going to be good once everyone gets a chance to fiddle around in their deck labs. Sersi in particular is my big sleeper
and they turn into Mr Negative, Attuma and Namor or Silver Samurai = minus power. I'd rather keep the Broodlings and know i can buff them at a cheaper cost.
@@AceInTheHole33realistically the only bad 4 cost card you can get with sersi is mr negative and shuri/jubilee For negative quite obvious, and for shuri/jubilee, it's a -1 power (cause u go from 2 power brood) and you can't use her abilities. Any other 4 cost is either equal power or more and even if it has a negative effect, it still leaves you with some way to play around it (play brood and sersi on right lane so when you get sentry the void doesn't even spawn). In conclusion, Brood into sersi is a good combo and will usually leave you with more power.
@@veganpolice3127 Filling a lane with three 4 drops isn''t a reliable way to win that lane. There's attuma, wong, jubilee, shuri, negative, skrull, dracula. Hell cow isn't great for follow up. Then you're also potentiailly set up to be Shanged when you do high roll. While there may not be too many awful 4 drops, sersi's strongest play will obviously be hitting the void. I don't think she is going to see any actual competitive play. Just fun high roll highlight videos on youtube.
@@AceInTheHole33 Right now broods can at best gain an additional +15 power in their lane. Sersi transforming them on average will net you 16+. When the floor hits it will feel bad but the number of times you will get hit with Attuma tier cards is simply outweighed by the number of 4 cost cards that can push you beyond current broods power ceiling.
I feel like quiin jet would be good in this deck and other cost reduction, both could have a home here but real low chance to have them in hand but still
I made a deck thats more support for arishem. I got Nico, Kitty, Quinjet, Angela, Magick, Phastos, Crystal, Hope, Loki, Mocking Bird, Sera, And of course Arishem. Crystal, magik, and Nico for more draws or turning dead draws into demons. Kitty, Angela, Hope engine for extra support. Phastos, quinjet, sera for cost reduction. mockingbird obvious reasons. Loki to turn dead draws into alive draws.
I haven't been as excited for a card in a long time, Arishem looks so fun. M'Baku finally has a home.

My thoughts on Arishem is more adding further ramp, and card draw to give more card play options. I hadn't thought about the end loading of said deck.

Thena can be played t3 with kitty and shes a instant 2/4 , her effect works after the turn. Even t2 with wasp (but I dont see ppl playing wasp cuz of her), she fits perfect in angela/kitty deck
sersi i actually forsee being much better than regis thinks. there are a lot of good junk deck cards out there that transforming them will almost always be net positive power, in addition she's got great plays for savage land, shadowland, eternity range, and subterranea. having a second top end filler alongside anihilus is great especially since she allows you to flex away from the send it to their board when they've already filled up in preparation.
Also works great as an anti anihilus and galactus tech taking those negative cards they sent you in a zone and transforming them into good cards
I think Phastos goes into Arishem. That deck already gets +1 energy now you might be getting a discount or more Unaccountable power! Just pure chaos.
hear me out, im too lazy to do the math but this sounds good. Okoye on 2, Magik on 3, Wong mid on 4, Blue Marvel on 5, Tribunal on 6, Gilgamesh left or right on 7 then Grandmaster him into the Wong mid. This combo is very unlikely to happen but it sounds cool.
The whole time, I'm just imagining a thematic deck with all of them! Arishem affects the curve so that wonky cards like Thena and Phastos have more potential(Phastos on turn 2 to buff all those cards??👀) plus those buffs affecting Gilgamesh, and Sersi to just clean out whatever chaotic junk to make room for potentially better junk just all feels potentially synergistic. And Makaari takes care of herself👏 RIP Ikaris and Druig😭

I want to see a deck made with all of these at the end of the season. I think this season’s cards has more innate synergy than in most seasons past and it might be worth exploring an Eternals deck.

Hrm, given that I see stuff like Lizard see play as a 2/5, and your example of Angela doing some work as a 2/6, do you really need to hit more than 2 turns on Thena (getting her to 2/7) for her to feel at least like she's done work? I can see the friction in going all in on her to try to push her to 2/13 or w/e being potentially stressful, as it were, but do you *need* to do that for her to be worth including?

1) Oftentimes I don’t draw into my Angela as soon as I want or ever. So to have that backup option helps a ton. If you power her up twice that is a 2-7. While you’re power her up you’re also powering up Angela. So you could potentially be powering up three lanes with a silky smoove deck.

Gilgamesh and Nova combo can be done fairly easily. Maybe Captain America, Hawkeye, Sage, Forge. Yeah you’re committing but it’s not as hard as you think.

I wonder if Phastos could work as a generic “good card” rather than a synergy card. Lower risk than Mr Negative or Pixie, but possibly enough of a reward. Even one random -1 can matter, but if your deck is mostly good already. Tossed into a Prof X/Cannonball deck, that might be good. Maybe an opponent is unprepared for 3 power Prof X. Maybe getting to play Cannonball and a second card on the last turn is what you need, rather than just Sam.
Arishem seems fun but also like, REALLY bad. There's enough ways to cheat out stuff consistently already, so trying to do it while basically getting District X'd (though still keeping your original deck) seems too volatile to be anywhere near competitive. Not to mention Darkhawk/Mystique is usually just autowinning against it, and because of all those random cards the chances of seeing a tech card to deal with those is way lower.
I'm thinking like "High evo + Arishem + quinjet + crystal + hella + lockjaw + death + Odin + onslaught " It's only beta version . But High evo + hella + quinjet + death + lockjaw+arishem =100% in deck!!!
Arishem obviously is a very fun card that everyone is looking forward too. I think Sersi might be my favorite card of the bunch. I just cant see a negative to it... The deck it goes in will be intentional for a high upside or most of all surprise cube wins. I mean like any deck obviously a Cosmo or prof X can deny it... other that that...I just can't see it being bad. I will decoy it as an Annihilus deck and win lanes... I know it's random but even if I play her on The Hood and a void... I mean the power swing on those cards can in a lot of cases can win a lane...I'm not dumb on how it can have down side but I just think it's upside is higher than average. I'm thinking of a Pixie deck already with her in it. I think it'll be sneaky good. (didn't even mention Arnim Zola shenanigans) Not necessarily tier 1 deck but a solid deck that you can climb with and have fun doing it.
Gilgamesh is a SLEEPER of a good card! Nova, chavez, the black panther cards, kitty pryde, surfer, so many different ways this card can be synergistic its insane. People shouldnt sleep on Gilgamesh i think he can be a crazy heavy hitter
Sersi is a Cosima Malaspina. Whoever played Casino Lippy in Gwent, will pull for Sersi. But this month is quite "meh". Baron was also quite "meh". I'm struggling to enjoy the game, lately.

As a word on Thena that I don't see people bringing up:
Wasp exists. Any turn that you feel like you're not able to play your bigger card, is suddenly a turn where, as it turns out, maybe you can. Including on turn 2 with Thena.
The perfect Thena play will be Thena on 2, Angela and Kitty on 3, hope summers and Kitty on 4, 5 drop and Kitty on 5, 6 drop and Kitty on 6. So you do play it with Amgela but Angela is not a turn 2 play unless you did not draw your Thena.
This is looking to be a pretty disappointing month. Ill definitely get Arishem for the fun factor but nothing else seems particularly worth spending keys or tokens on. I really hope the OTA's bring some spice this month because the new cards certainly arent.
Gilgamesh is one of the worst season pass cards released, especially one so pigeon-holed like Shaw was. RIP. Looking forward to July when Arishem finally drops.

My read on Gilgamesh is a way to go tall in traditionally wide decks like most decks with kazoo and blarvel, whose biggest single card in a location was dazzler before this, running iron man to get tall sometimes. I think he'll find a home, but I don't think it will be a very good deck.
Phastos is the 1ncard I'm looking to spend keys on this month since you only get to pull on 1 card a month most times. Phastos is going to be great with Gwenpool in a shaw/panther/Zola buff deck.
Arishem seems interesting though i wish it had more power. Sersi is pushing towards RNG fiesta which i hope SD is careful with because ive quit other card games for becoming too RNG focused.

I read that Thena counts the turn she's played on, as well as herself. So t2, play Wasp and Thena, turn ends, Thena gains 3 power.

I could see thena in a bast shell. Bast on kitty, thena, Angela, bishop, mysterio, and iron man is all strong. Also turn 6 iron man and kitty is better than any 6 drop and buffs thena.
I see phantos as a definning card in a silver surfer deck, like 3 energy, that is gonna help sera even more letting yo potentially get more 3 drops out on turn 6 or potentially get some crazy combos off
Gilgamesh would be better if it was ongoing rather then on reveal. The black panther outperforms out of the box for on reveal decks in power spikes
Nico probably works great with Gilgamesh. Best combo is if you get a copy of Gilgamesh in your hand and play him twice
I think you’re low on Sersi, she will hard counter junk decks, she can turn that goblins, rocks or void sent to your side into positive power.

Sersi is a Junk tech, transform all the goblins, hobgoblins, widows bite and all the other junk in something possibly useful

@@AceInTheHole33realistically the only bad 4 cost card you can get with sersi is mr negative and shuri/jubilee For negative quite obvious, and for shuri/jubilee, it's a -1 power (cause u go from 2 power brood) and you can't use her abilities. Any other 4 cost is either equal power or more and even if it has a negative effect, it still leaves you with some way to play around it (play brood and sersi on right lane so when you get sentry the void doesn't even spawn). In conclusion, Brood into sersi is a good combo and will usually leave you with more power.
@@veganpolice3127 Filling a lane with three 4 drops isn''t a reliable way to win that lane. There's attuma, wong, jubilee, shuri, negative, skrull, dracula. Hell cow isn't great for follow up. Then you're also potentiailly set up to be Shanged when you do high roll. While there may not be too many awful 4 drops, sersi's strongest play will obviously be hitting the void. I don't think she is going to see any actual competitive play. Just fun high roll highlight videos on youtube.
@@AceInTheHole33 Right now broods can at best gain an additional +15 power in their lane. Sersi transforming them on average will net you 16+.
When the floor hits it will feel bad but the number of times you will get hit with Attuma tier cards is simply outweighed by the number of 4 cost cards that can push you beyond current broods power ceiling.
I predict they nerf Annihilus the week before Sersi comes out, so people feel more inclined to get her to deal with sentry's void
I'm looking forward to Arishem except I'm not looking forward to all the Dark Hawk counters.

I made a deck thats more support for arishem. I got Nico, Kitty, Quinjet, Angela, Magick, Phastos, Crystal, Hope, Loki, Mocking Bird, Sera, And of course Arishem. Crystal, magik, and Nico for more draws or turning dead draws into demons. Kitty, Angela, Hope engine for extra support. Phastos, quinjet, sera for cost reduction. mockingbird obvious reasons. Loki to turn dead draws into alive draws.
What does Phastos do?
