Madam i'm confused on the last question 2.1.6 on how we got 1.15 because i used 0.15and got a different answer
If you add your answer to the original amount, you will see you get to my answer. It’s just a different method but works both ways.
@@mathswithmargs oryt Madam thanks 🙏
2:03 isn’t it supposed to be 38,37 coz that’s the due amount
The R38,37 is the installment due. The question asks for the TOTAL balance owing.
This was amazing... But now the problem is I have to go and look for question 3🙆♀️

OK thank you
On the last question Isn't that 15% equal to 600? I'm confused here cause for e.g 15% of 100 is 15So 15÷100×R4000 should be R600 then R4000-600 is R3400
Nope. To strip out VAT you divide by 1.15, to add you multiply by 1.15.
@@mathswithmargs okay
thank you for the lesson but my problem is that on vat how did you get 1.15 cause i thought the formula might be 15 divide by 100 or 115?🥺🥺
You can divide by 115% too. I just use 1.15.
@@mathswithmargs okay thank you so much
