Very helpful 🙏🏾. I myself an educator and newly appointed for Grade 12 maths lit, I struggle a lot preparing this section. Thank you very much for detailed explanation and clarity 🙏🏾.
An absolute pleasure! Please tell your learner about this channel, let them know that they have this free resource available to them. I would appreciate :)
Thank you for this lesson. Two questions, 1. why did the UIF percentage not be 1% for the individual? Given that we are calculating on his gross income. If it is 2%, does that mean the company's contribution to the UIF is (always/already) included in the Gross income of individuals? 2. When calculating the take home salary, weren't we supposed to subtract the UIF contribution as well?
Hi, please email a specific question on this to mathsmonkeyhelp@gmail.com and I will have a look at it. Title the email 'Tax Threshold' so that I can keep an eye out for it.
Are you perhaps thinking of Value Added Tax (VAT)? The terms in your question does not really get used when working with PAYE. Check my percentages video to see how we work with VAT
Hey mam, on 3.2.calculate the annual tax...I did calculate 100263+36%......and also got 153474.492,my question is before your answer which step is 100263+53211.492 😢like where did you take that?I got lost there

It’s 2% because the employee and the employer both contribute 1% just tryna help
@@bby_lee but the employers contribution does not come from the employees salary

I agree, help me spread the word and thank you for your support!

So in an exam paper do they also use "take home pay" words??
You are brilliant and I appreciate your lessons ♥️🥺♥️♥️❤
I hope I will be able to practice also
Happy to help :)
My hero 🙏🏽❤️🌟!
why was the uif calculated by 2% instead of 1%
It was suppose to be 1% darling. Only 2% if both the employee and employer contribute.
@@maths_monkey @libonampafa6758
U r a good teacher
i love you so much, thank you. 😭❤️❤️
9:31 why is it 2 % for uif instead of 1
That’s what I thought too coz I was taught it’s 1%
@@ziyandaunathi1290 it is one she made an error
The employer also contributes 1% so that makes it 2%. Don't know if this makes sense
@@olgamagade2784 but the employers contribution has nothing to do with an individual personal tax that’s why it says “personal”
This was a mistake
omg so helpful Ma'am thank you sm💕
Finally I understand taxation ❤thank you for this
It's my pleasure!
Morning mam; I'm a bit confused about the first example;why is it that you Multipled the gross income after the uif ?
Do they tax you on your bonus?
Yes, but the question will give you guidance whether you should use bonuses or not in your calculation.
@@maths_monkeyhi can I hv your whatspp tens
Thank you I now understand taxation🙏🙏❤😭
here 9 hours before my 2024 final exam
Lady Lu! Hope you're doing well.
How do we tackle Tax Threshold?
Hi, please email a specific question on this to mathsmonkeyhelp@gmail.com and I will have a look at it. Title the email 'Tax Threshold' so that I can keep an eye out for it.
What happens in a scenario whereby a person receives a bonus in the end of the year ?
Your bonus will form part of your taxable income.
This was really helpful mam
When they say someone is god sent they will be talking about you😊
Hi ma'am when will you be uploading videos on UIF and Pesion fund
Hi sorry, I know there has been a delay on the follow up video. I'm hoping to get one going before your big exams.
@@maths_monkey ma'am for the UIF percentage why did you use 2% instead of 1%?
I have never understood taxation, but you have helped me 😊❤
Thank you for your help i understand now ❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
Ma'am is it fine if i round off as i go, or will my answer be wrong?
God bless you fr
Thank you so much I now understand better I wanted to ask a question where did we get the 2 on our Frist calculation ❤
Hey darling, the UIF 2% was suppose to be 1%
in 3.2 I don't understand how you got 53211.492 .
I was trying to see how she got to it too and I never did, I'm so confused
Yhooo just like me I'm still confuse
No same here because I'm not getting that answer
And here I am trying to figure out by the examples how she got to the first answer of the example of 47592,475
how do we calculate inclusive n exclusive tax
Are you perhaps thinking of Value Added Tax (VAT)? The terms in your question does not really get used when working with PAYE. Check my percentages video to see how we work with VAT
Isn't UIF 1% of your monthly salary??
This was a mistake 😭
Can I ask on uif how come is two not one
Thank you very very very much❤😭😭😭
THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU REALLY HELPED
You're welcome!
I'm confused on how you got 53211.492 please explain
why was the uif calculated as 2% instead of 1% if its from the employees gross salary
@@SimonePowys it should be 1% yes
@@SimonePowys Follow the tax 2.0 video instead of this one.
Masterfully done
Glad you think so :)
where did the 2 come from 😭😭😭
ma’am i see you made the uif mistake so the entire answer changed, is my final answer of R37 065.48 correct?

This information came from the table
pls do the other two i really need it
Very helpful
student here using moms account , why is the uif 2% ?
It was an error. 1% is correct. 2% is what UIF gets in total. 1% from you and 1% from company.
good luck to the class of 2024
You tube is helpful
wish i found this video before doing an assignment😭

It’s currently 07:01 watching this before the test🧎🏽♂️➡️😭
Still waiting for you to release more videos on taxation 😭😭
I'm working on it

Can I please get more videos about taxation
E.g rate tax, tax after deducting, donations and UIF
Thank you ❤
This really helped thank u i just want to ask how to improve in maths lit if u struggling
❤❤
Thank u so much mam❤
Where’s part 2 & 3???
Please calculate the tax using tax bracket number 1
I'm working on one for you.
It can't be that 2% is deducted directly from an employee because they only contribute 1% and the employer the other percent
i love you
Well comprehend
Few hours left for the final!😂
Me the night before my Maths Paper 1 exam during pre-lims😭
My teacher told me that UIF is 1% but you wrote 2%

Its 1%, there was an error in this video
