4 ACT Test Hacks You Can't Live Without

Welcome back to ACT Tuesday! Today, we'll be covering 4 ACT test hacks you can use to improve your score.
1. For the English section of the ACT, remember the acronym 'FANBOYS' to keep your coordinating conjunctions straight:
For
And
Nor
But
Or
Yet
So
2. For the math section, you can summon your inner MacGyver and use your answer sheet as a ruler or a protractor. Because most ACT math figures are usually drawn to scale (despite warnings to the contrary), you can draw some benchmarks on your answer sheet, and compare these marks to the diagrams themselves.
3. On the reading section, pay special attention to the first and lat sentences of paragraphs. These sentences typically contain the most important information of the passage.
4. And on the science section, beware of the "Yes/No because [rationale]" questions! Instead of focussing on the yes/no dichotomy, focus on the rationales. If a rationale is not true, then eliminate the answer. As long as you do this, you can usually reduce a question to two answers.

If i do recall correctly a statement written at the beginning of the math test is that illustrative figures are not necessarily drawn to scale.

That's true, but experience shows that they usually are. It's a good tip to help you make an educated guess on the ACT.

taking it for the second time in about a month. i made a 21 last time. i dont think i can do it. this has me way too stressed. COVID cut my year short so i didnt learn most of the things on the math or science section. i dont think i can cram that in a month 😀✋
