Wish I could comment on this video. I like the format of this. Ur happy energy and accent is awesome, and I hope you can help many. But these budget/ finance shows need some shame and ass kicking 😂From the ones that I've seen. I'm curouious to see if a more positive reinforcement can fix broken finance people.
@@jrodzilla look the stats speak for themselves - 93% of individuals that came to the show greatly improved their financial situation afterwards (3 months +)
I think it is really cool that you listened to your audience and adjusted the thumbnail. At the same time, it must be difficult to establish your empathetic, high-quality show in a market where drama and negativity are major selling points. I wish you all the best in finding (or establishing) your own niche. :)
Thank you for noticing - it’s a difficult balance that I am constantly learning and adjusting👌
💪🏾 Bro is a real one for turning around his life 🙌🏾
Big news Romain! I finally finished paying off my debt! I did the math its saving me approx 60$ in interest a month. A big weight off my chest!
Best finance show on youtube!
I appreciate :)
Every video I watch, I check his subscriber count, and I'm kind of annoyed that people aren't subscribing faster.
@@itsRomainFaure Keep it up, man. You're awesome :)
Life gives more than just a second chance, every day that you wake up is another chance.
Romain, you have such poise and grace no matter what guests have as challenges. Bravo!
What a great story to see how hard he has worked to turn himself around, and for her to see him for who he was meant to be. He seems to be doing great for just being released a few months ago. I wish them the best of luck and look forward to the follow up after the baby is here.
They are an amazing couple, and this is a great episode. Your show really shows its strength in this context: It is inspiring to learn about their lives and their positive outlook, then dive into their finances and learn how they can adjust them to fit their priorities. Thank you for sharing your story with us, Pina & Samori. I wish you all the best and happiness for your future with your daughter!
I get the feeling that this couple is going to make it! When you are partnered, hard working and determined great things happen! Continued blessing to you both.🙏🏾
This channel is getting so interesting !!!
Great interview! This couple is focused on building a nice future regardless of the challenges from the past. No victim mentality here. Wishing them all the best. ❤
What a great couple, wish them the very best from across the pond
Cheers :)
Blink 2 times if you're okay 😂. ... i am glad this man is doing 180 on his life with also a family. God bless this young man
You have such diverse and inspiring guests, it's so interesting to hear the stories behind their financial situations. I love the variety in your videos, keep up the great content!
What i took from this couple that really impressed me is that he has a really good growth mindset that will be essential as he figures out life on the outside. He's listening and learning without ego. He's open to learning from people who have information and experience he doesn't have. So few people have this but from what he described about his time inside, this is something he developed in there that will serve him very well for the rest of his life.
Very insightful and big thanks to this wonderful couple for educating us about prison life.
I know they will be financially stable since they are both self-aware and willing to do what they can to have a bright future for their family.
Thank you once again Romain for bringing in varieties of people with different life backgrounds so we can learn from them.
Hello☺️ I completely agree with you I think this lovely couple will make it
Romain, you‘ll have to bring the couple back to the show. I am so curious how they will continue. I am wishing them all the best!❤
Romain I always enjoy seeing the process in which you handle peoples' finances. Very inspiring!
Thank you so much !
I'm impressed with the financial standing of the couple. I expected the worse, but their finances is positive largely because of the low rent granted by the sister in law and their savings. I like the strategy outlined by Romain, especially paying off the 5k credit card debt. That action alone will fire them up to tackle the other debts. I hope their budget for their wants increases after 6 months. USD200 seems low considering the hard work they expend, especially once the baby arrives. I wish their family all the best!
Great comment - my decision to go with $200 was to get started then started with the mindset. I am hoping that they pick up positive momentum from it 🤞
Nice episode Romain!
It’s great to see that he’s trying to turn his life around after 16 years in prison! Most men who have spent a lot of time in prison like your guest has studies/research show they have been physically assaulted by other inmates which cause more PTSD! No way I’d ever date someone who has been in prison at such a young age especially since he has only been out 5 months. I do wish them the best. Hopefully he has really changed!
Omg!!! I clicked sooo fast 😮
Fresh out of prison and he's working with children?!
After going without most of the comforts we take for granted, he has a foundation that could potentially really help them save for the future if he is truly committed to improving financially. Not to mention the price of Cup Noodle, an extra tray of chow, and not needing to pay $0.20 per minute to talk on the phone is way down from the inflation of the correction system. Good luck!
Clicked immediately and upvoted! I will be watching this today this looks so interesting and like such a chance to learn!
Let me know your thoughts :)
Very insightful video! I'm happy you have provided them with a clear financial path forward so early into their process. The power of compounding returns is still right for the taking! Another excellent piece of content, Romain!
I’m so happy for both of them ❤
This is so interesting what a lovely couple. And even though he had this albeit dramatic story you balanced it well on both. I much prefer this to just yelling at people. Sad to see your count isn’t higher then click bait nonsense
Romain, you just don't stick to the 'traditional safe' couples. Hats off to Samori for listening to mentors who knew he would take the steps to change the trajectory of his life. I applaud him for that. I always said, gang members are some of the smartest ppl out there, they can move products with low overhead, and make a profit _ I'm not glorifying this young mans life, but one has to understand why some of these young men can't leave the lifestyle. The gang members took a corporate business model and used it to their advantage (though some business just as gangster, just got suits running them) Kudos for not wanting to live in that cycle Samori. Romain, when you told them to take 5k and pay off the ccd, I was like "when you have saved that much, you'd rather keep it in the bank and find another way to do it" and they did. Look ya'll stay with the sister until you got more than enough saved and then you can move and not worry about depleting your savings, for a savings or a move. Good luck to you both.
Much easier to move product with low overhead when the entire operating model is dependent on avoiding government and regulation.
Gang members can't avoid the government regulation of law enforcement. That's why they all end up in jail or dead. Pretty ludicrous statement to claim gang members are like young entrepreneurs lol.
@@jordandowland7256Yes Jordan, but you missed the point.
@@vee8647 Or maybe you missed my point.

I work as a teacher in a prison. Whenever one of my students gets out, I wonder about how they’re going to get on in the “real world.” This episode gives me hope that my job isn’t pointless and that these guys can change ❤
@@MultiOlive22 wow ! Thank you for your comment and for what you do :)
Romain keep checking up on them. also are u able to set a fund to help with baby on the way.
Yes will do 🤞
It's interesting seeing what you recommended. I would look at it in a simple way. Live on one income and use the other to pay off debt and get used to one income being gone for a short time when the baby is born. Any money over the base incomes coming in will have half into savings for 20% down on a home and you have the extra go into date night / travel account.
I did something similar before I retired early. I lived off the projected social security check and the rest went into retirement. Now I am retired and living on less than my SS check and I am doing Roth conversions and so far have not touched the 401k. If I don't see the money I don't miss it.
Wishing them the best! Nice couple and glad to see he’s turned his life around.
Cheers to you as always :)
Great episode. The update was not as positive as it could have been. Cheering for this couple. Best wishes Pina and Samori!
Yes I agree but we kept it real as always :)
Amazing couple, I think they got this
I agree 😊
Great story!❤️
Thank you! 😊
So, how did he get out after being sentenced to 92 years? I don’t know how US prisons work, I’d be interested to hear an explanation. I assume it’s not just reading lots of clever and kind books that let him out of there, did he get out on a parole or something?
This has been my favorite couple that you have interviewed. The debt snowball system works! I have great hopes for these two!
Thank you Debbie :)
Thank God for second chances. If they apply the knowledge they have they will definitely make it.
Romain reminds me of the French dude from the Matrix except now he’s become a financial advisor
Luv the thumbnail 😂
This show is very slept on!
@@Crusadxr I appreciate your kind words :)
At first, I thought his name was ''Samurai''. Had to read that twice.
Samuri*
Not to mention the cost of having a baby in a U.S. hospital.... Yikes
Someone's okay could be someone else's mayday. Just speaking in general. Past experiences influence your outlook I guess. 91k combined is beneficial. In cali it would be more $$$$
Please do not turn into financial audit. Dont go for absurd thumbnails just for clicks.
I note your feedback ✔️
Kind of funny because %90 of the channel, even the background, looks almost identical as the Financial Audit, just using different words. So I wasn’t surprised when I saw the thumbnails lol
Yeah we like the calm nice approach.
Very proud of him BUT they should have delayed having a baby a little more! I know she must feel the time ticking in her 30s but really one year would have given a chance for both of them to stabilize and adapt to their new lives before introducing a baby into the mix. It is too late now though, wishing the best for them!
The photoshopped thumbnail really isn't cool. You are so respectful in your videos, please keep that reflected in your thumbnails as well.
Thanks for changing it Romain :)
I don’t understand Romain. He was totally critical of that Mexican kid from Seattle, that dental assistant who only made $20/hr even though he is 21 yrs old. But not so critical of this 30 yr old who only makes $4 more per hour (20:12) “decently good.” The 21 yr old is doing better because by the time he turns 30, he’ll be making a whole lot more than $24/hr. I think it’s the circumstances that probably matters. For a violent felon, any wage is good especially when they’re only making 5 cents per hour inside the prison.
Very very different context!!
The dramatic difference between the two is the mentality. The dental assistant was not taking his finances seriously, he had generational financial habits that needed to be broken and needed someone to almost give him a reality check before he continued the family patterns. It's optimistic to think he will chase a better career and income if he doesn't learn the big financial basics early on when he has never been exposed to that before. This guy has completely turned his life around and is coming to Romain for preventative help before having a baby, ready to take the steps he needs to be proactive.
The thumbnail really isn’t fair! He doesn’t have a face rat and he’s not wearing Orange. This image is very stigmatizing and it isn’t conducive to social re-entry.
Completely agree. He's no longer a prisoner. He needs to be treated like he isn't one.
I especially agree regarding the face tattoo. Hopefully Romain got his consent before using that image for the thumbnail.
I mean if you don’t like it don’t watch 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. This generation is so soft and triggered about everything 🤦🏾♂️
Another great episode 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I do note your feedback👌
What made a 14 year old to throw his youth ???? Life ???? Education is important . Time with nothing to do is dangerous
Women LOVE these type of guys lol
Those women must have no self esteem and NO self worth!😭
That woman is desperate. Out of prison less than a month and gets pregnant. She married him in prison 🙄
Hey Romain, I hope all is well with you! It has been a hot minute since I have commented on your videos. Like always, I love the content. Last I commented I mentioned that I had gotten a conditional job offer with one of the cruise lines. I haven't continued with that because I have to get my medical sorted out. I didn't think that one had to go through a medical / physical, but since you have to go through the Coast Guard it kind of makes sense. Until I get my medical sorted out, I will be doing ridesharing, but not strictly Uber, nor as an independent contractor but as an employee. I will also not be using my personal vehicle to do it. Now, this all depends on whether I pass my physical driver's assessment that I have scheduled on Monday (6/03/2024). I've already been through the interview and written assessment, now it's just the physical driving assessment. If I pass that, then they will offer a conditional job offer. Anyway, I loved this episode! I hope that this couple has an amazing marriage that is blessed. I am so proud of this young man for turning his life around. Please let us know when the baby arrives!
How did the test go 😊 did you get it? :)
@@itsRomainFaure: Huh? Odd... I thought I just replied but not seeing my response. Anyway, if for some reason it didn't go through... I stated that, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I went on a high speed pursuit with the police using the company car. The good news is that, the company still offered me a conditional offer of employment!!!! I just hope that they don't find my GTA San Andreas gameplay because I ran over the pedestrians on the sidewalk. Don't lie, you know you've done that playing GTA. Just kidding about the high speed pursuit with the police. It was more of a helicopter chase, but we aren't going to talk about that.
