EVERYBODY who works for Interlake is just at the TOP of their profession. So nice-all of them but past that, ULTRA professionals. It shows everywhere. The ships are in such perfect condition. All take great pride in their work.

The Caterpillar D399 engines on the generator sets were what some of the offshore drilling rigs would to supply their electrical power. I was on the Santa Fe 127 when one of the four D399s up and died, and they cut a hole in the main deck and lifted it out, and when we went into the shipyard in Sharjah, all four engines were replaced with Caterpillar 3516s. I have been on other offshore rigs where the electrical power was supplied by 16 cylinder EMD 567 or 645 Series, one I was on had 251 Series ALCO, and the first one I was on had Mitibushi engines. All were loud, but the EMDs were the worst, with their 2 cycle scream along with the Roots blowers adding to it.
Who is the gentleman in the jumpsuit? Who is giving tour to the guests, I love his jumpsuit, normally I also do prefer jumpsuits, full sleeve boilersuits are too heavy in tropical waters.
This might have been nicer if they could have conducted the tour when they weren't underway, so everything could be shut off and we could hear what they're saying.
There is always somebody who will complain instead of appreciating the effort. Here is a fact for you to consider: These ships only make money for Interlake when they are underway on a job. It would be really stupid to stop the biggest ship just so that YOU can hear the tour. I own two major corps.
