Hi Brian, thanks for the review! How is the padding beneath the laptop compartment? I feel this is a problem on most backpacks, that the laptop is still able to touch the ground when the bag gets put down on the ground.
Yes, there is padding, minimal but a lot more than some other bags at this price point... I've dropped it by accident and it made a soft landing sound compared to a thud like a string bag...

Hi what is the difference between this and the non TSA 17.3 with out the top side pockets? Is this going to be to big for daily commuting on a bicycle?

There is enough wiggle room leftover if you have a case over the laptop
