Folks that haven't done anything/are not doing anything/will never do anything are the ones calling this a waste of time. I can only begin to imagine the many benefits of this exercise: the massive learning he picked up along the way, the additional hands-on experience gained as a result of this effort. You can never beat a man that is actually doing the work, no way. Kudos Anuoluwapo.
Nice way to start, remember you have tons of Yoruba speaking developers with same passion. Think of how other developers around the world can support with code, architecture e.t.c
Congratulations In Africa there are states but many ethnic groups with his language If we can read and write in our mother tongue and also computering with respect our nationality we can make progress The children learn better in indigenous tongue than foreigners european languages Look example of Ethiopia with many nations but unity is important
@Tlayor Biu stranded rather, they put them in hotel over a month, those pple want to come Nigeria but no money in them, yet demanding for hug amount from them, Dubai government sent those pple to desert due to Hussppupies issue, they don't allow them to work, then the hotel abode them., over a month in this hotel stranded... pls help to bring our love once home
Yorland is a nice concept ! But programming is majorly not about vocabs and lexicon. It is about algorithm to execute commands and solve problems. Confusion will definitely come with signs, symbols, logics and operands that can't be translated easily.
yes as a programmer myself it not about solving problem in Nigeria when people don't understand English to the degree writing in local language is a step forward and ease the burden of learning in English.
To me, this is simply a waste of time. This is just like building a compiler. Programming language acceptance is all about global acceptance. Why would you learn a coding language that cannot even run on most chips. You must think we call America giant in tech for nothing. I commend you for this but this will not make people learn to code in Yoruba. This is just your personal project on writing compilers, and you know it goes beyond just developing a language. What's the purpose of this language, on which machine will not run. Is it for mobile, web or PC. And who is ready to learn such language? Will I pick such language to teach programming, ofcos not. That's what I noticed about us in Africa. We channel effort wrongly! How far will this go, just for news!
@@regchukwuka actually having thought about it well, I realise he didn't actually write a compiler. Cos his explanation about uploading files ..means he used Internationalization functionality in a particular IDE. That's why the error stack trace still shows as English. If it was a compiler, he will be the one to specify the error msg as well...so, he is just a baby programmer.
Let's not call him baby... I do admire his passion for time wastage. I wonder how he ever thought this piece of shit would pass github archive to real life usage. It doesn't even address a problem, neither does it contribute to a popular language Some people sha..
@@regchukwuka but all what you just said now is what makes him a baby..😃😃🤣😂, though I wasn't thinking this way when I started. I was always looking towards doing sth after learning from what has been done! What if he spent that time to build "Opan Ayo, or chessboard"? Or a yourba chessboard game. That can be adopted world wide..

I want to talk to you about something. I want to discover something about a subject. Isn't it really possible? Can you tell me a little bit?
Ì think a good idea is anyone to create software tutorial in édé yoruba. Is there ?
Yes. +

😂😂😂.. I wasn't here oo
Come on, what is the population of Yoruba?, It is useless just lang point to a specific tribe and that is not nationalism it is actually tribalism
It is not a useless language. It is actually a big population, and an extra measure for code security
