I wet my fingertip with water then place a small drop onto the pearl. The coarse texture of a real pearl results in a perfectly round droplet. If the droplet is misshapen the pearl is fake.

real pearls feels like sandpaper on ur teeth an if ur not sure then theyre prob fake and not real because fake pearls are very smooth on ur teeth

Why could you not take a microscope and look through the drill hole to see the layers to verify a real pearl instead of smashing or ruining them?
