I like that these Create/VS vehicles look crazy and not like ordinary real world vehicles. A windmill powered tank is awesomely minecraft-y.

A "good" idea you could do to your tank to make it move is to have a separate driver to the cannon, this is now allows the tank to be controlled but the only downside is that the driver and gunner have to have good co-ordination, meaning the tank would be "fully" functional (like an actual tank).
Yeah that's the flaw with this tank design. Focusing too much on making one person control every mechanism when it can be simplified by having more crew members, preferably 2 or 3. Driver, Gunner, and an extra crew member as a spotter or commander to coordinate both of them.

You need to power the firing side of the mount to use the autocannon with handles, and input the ammo through a hopper.

in the inside of the tank you can add some balloon blocks to make it lighter and make it more compact
small tip: you need to power the front of the cannon too to make it fire

Also you could use immersive portals to both fit inside and make the cannon work, if you put a portal on top and have a cannon shoot through one end it SHOULD work
I tried to combine valkyrian skies with immersive portals, but it looks like they're incompatible, because valkyrian contraptions just getting broken - they're becoming invisible and noninteractive
We really need someone to make a fighter jet with these mods

In a previous video you figured out the actual vehicle is technically considered to be in another direction. So my guess is when firing the cannon, it fires in that other dimension.

An idea: a 3x3 piston door on wheels (so your base can have multiple doors when you dont uave the resources)
I think you can use the belts to move like tank wheels, which means cars and ACTUAL TANKS WORK

Two separate propellers at the back means that both on pushes it forwards, only one on turns it, and then if you reverse them it will reverse
Funny enough this is how I would have done it too. Mechanically a block of copper is just as strong as a block of iron.
But while copper looks way better iron can be used for more than just building material.
Another alternative I like is Smooth Stone.
You can change the max creative engine speed in the config btw

mounted machine gun like autocannons dont seem to work entirely, they only work on carts as far as i saw (didnt try loading ammo to the mount using belts and funnels, i suggest you try it)
Here is a idea for a video (hope it gets noticed):
You can try building the tank on a larger scale. It won't be realistic, but it will look cool. It would help you fit an "engine" that contains many propellers, hidden inside the hull. You can also put a large cannon next to an automatic one on a rotating turret. The larger manual-loaded cannon (which you can also automate) would be your main gun, and the automatic one would be a secondary weapon - like a machine gun. You can get inspiration from an old WW2 tank concept - the Ratte. It was supposed to be a huge vehicle with a turret of a battleship. It may take a long time to build something like this, so you can construct it before the video and show it to us when it's ready for action.

I have an idea, what if you do a build battle, someone makes an attack-airship, and someone makes a base that has cannons for anti-air. That might be a fun idea to build with a friend, because you can battle after that (,possibly to win something).
You can have like an hour build time. Or however long you want.

A Flying tank does exist, The tank was called the Antonov A-40 and was a attempt by the soviets for a airplane tank, you could use that as a good reference
for the auto cannon to fire while on the mount you need a hopper to feed the rounds into the cannon mount
If you wanted it to turn with the set up you had before you changed it all you had to do was make an opposing force, if one side moved one direction the opposite side moves the opposite direction. If the vehicle was in the air it would rotate vertically so instead of the sides you put the wings on the top, just like helicopters.
I am pretty sure you can make a working tank without clockwork and then just euruka, because today I put a cannon on a air craft that worked, it was a carriage tho

When you create physical object in VS, it's actually being created million blocks away from your actual position, and you are interacting with it via contraption's "projection", so the real contraption is far away from you with all entities. Rounds you shoot with cannon not a part of contraption so you can't see their "projection" where you are.

Question or your tank: Is clockwork required to make it function properly, or is there an alternative way to make it drive up and down slopes?
And is it also possible to make it where you drive it?

You can just use the plane's tail to turn the tank. Maybe you can shot the cannon if you powered the front of the cannon's base like a normal create big cannon

Best trol for create survival: use an innocent schematic cannon but add a schematic of tnt a pulse delay and a red-stone block to make a timed bomb

There's actually an addon for Valkyrien Skies planned that will be focused on land vehicles, so you won't need to make them in a hacky way with airplane parts anymore.
Land vehicles will even be part of the clockwork addon itself soon

Shalz, i know this is probably something youll never see because its 2 months ago that you uploaded this. But you can use a wooden button to have the iron trapdoor work properly, wooden buttons have a longer input time then stone buttons and then it would be okay.
With the Clockwork mod you can belts to move the tank, cuz it's physics :)

SHALZ You can shoot it by powering the fuse side of the cannon so you might be able to shoot it but just not being on the cannon!

He should of just used Valkyrien Skies and Eureka so there weren't propellers

Did you put a lever on the firing spot of the cannon mount? You probably did but that could be an issue

Minecraft battle bots is literally the best video idea, by increasing your player size and making bots/tanks with weapons.
