😀 About VideoShowMeHow
-----------------------------------------------
⏩ Where did this start?
I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)
⏩ What will you find here?
The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)
⏩ What's with the gloves?
Not after any UA-cam fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing. Plus adds a little more personality I guess :)
New videos are being uploaded regularly so if there's something you'd like to see, have Questions and/or Comments drop me a line.
Cheers guys.
Adam

We got one of these colour coded and installed on our bt50 XTR for about 400 bucks more than a Hayman X bar installed so it was a no brainer for us.
I awaiting for my D Max to arrive. Thanks to your video I will fit a TJM Rear Bar once it arrives
Hey Adam, mate I just recently installed my rear bar thanks to your video made it a lot easier and I did it on my own, great bit of kit. Cheers Wayne M
Another great vid thank you 👍
My man, awesome, liked and subbed. Keep up the great dmax content
Lots more on the way 👍
Great work
Another awesome and informative video 👍🏻
🤘🤘
Great video, very informative. Have saved for future ref. Thanks
Check-out the build series, there's a few vids there now 👍
“In the bin” and “dak dak” - this guys a Might Car Mods fan 👍🏻
You know it 😉 Wondered if anyone would get those references :D
keep up the good work with the vids i like watching them its like a lil insider of how its done.
also for people that do buy tjm as a lil bit of a help that arb and orher never do even though this video is very detailed and really well done. you can also download the installiation instructions straight off tjm if you need the extra assistance.
as for me im still waiting on my tjm gear. but only coz i got them colour coded to the flares.
Bit bummed out that the b-bar, rear bar and scrub bars from qld have been sent but have to wait 2 months for the side steps. and a wait on my under body protecting. alwell it happens.
Thanks for the comment 👌 Hopefully yours turns up soon
Awesome vid! Thinking of doing the same to my territory.
Go the Territory!
Great
I'm really enjoying your content, thanks for your work on these video's. That bar does look a little be more on the grey side then pure black, does it match the flares and roller cover?
Cheers! Definitely straight black, maybe just the video/lighting.
You are super.
Another great video Adam, thanks. I am watching this vid again because I just damaged the RH side bumper on my October 2020 model LSU dual cab. I bought my vehicle with the IUA supplied canopy, tow bar and Isuzu branded electric break controller for towing our van. I am being weight sensitive now looking at gross GVM for towing. What do you think is the weight difference between the TJM rear step bar and the IUA tow bar assembly?
Hmm well the TJM bar comes in around the 66kg mark from memory, so you're probably adding around 30-35kg compared to the factory hitch assembly on the MY22s
Great video, I used it to find out how to remove the rear bumper section, so I could remove all my XT's sensors. Currently relocation them to my new tray. Just a question, you don't happen to know the hole size on tmyour new bar that the reverse sensors plugged into? I current don't have access to my tub to check.
21mm, though mileage may vary depending on the paint thickness ☺️
Hi Adam, thanks for your videos. About to get one of these fitted to bt50 and I’ve heard there can then be possible space issues when changing the suspension and it’s shackles afterwards? Any thoughts on this please?
Andy
Nope no issues when I installed my outback armour lift
Hi mate I have fitted tow bar from Trailboss. I got it used from a car but the same car. But it used car didn’t have rear sensors I have thr model and harness fitted but now rear sensors fault when u discount Error go way. Any advise ?
Did you notice any difference to the ride comfort between factory and the TJM rear bar? Did it make it any worse or better with more weight? Or no change?
Slightly better if say, little more weight settled down the rear a bit
Hey Adam. How did you get the paint off the 2 sensors or did you end up rubbing them back and painting them?
No just have them lick over the top 👍
Can tell your single cause you have way to many tools haha legend well Informed cheers mate
Haha nah just a wife who understands my obsession 🤣
She’s a keeper then mate looking at buying a couple of them cane toad tool boxes keep the videos coming I’ve got a 2021 dmax and rather do it my self 👍
@@joshua-raymcnee2273 noice. Yeah mate shooting for new vid every Friday arvo as a min :)
Hi Great video, do you have access to any more of the corner bumpers and parts, for 2022 Sappire blue mica code 565, as i have corner damage, many thanks Ron
Cheers. No sorry gave away a while ago
Cool, did the grip plates come with the kit or were they taken off the original plastic bumper? What is the advantage over the standard plastic/metal bar (except for tow hitch)?
Came with :) Much more protection
The hitch is also much higher up on the TJM bar. A few inches of extra clearance for offroading. If you're not going to be offroading... It's probably not worth the cost/weight.
Nice solid bar work under the tub too :)
@@VideoShowMeHow OK, I get the picture..thanks.
I really need the part... 😭
Hey Adam, roughly how long did it take you to do this install? Thanks
All day with filming haha. Normally though I would allow 3 hours. 😁
@@VideoShowMeHow yeah it’s hard to tell with videos. Seems like it only take a a couple minutes but I can see why it would take ages for creating a UA-cam video. I’ll probably allow myself 5-6hrs because I’m a numpty. Wouldn’t attempt it but because your video is so easy to follow I’m giving it a go! Crossing my fingers I don’t f**k anything up 😂
Ahh you'll be fine mate 👌Just limit the beverage intake and you'll be sweet 🍺😬
@@VideoShowMeHow ha yeah, good advice!
Was wondering what this bars weight is , do you know. Cheers
66kg mate :)
@@VideoShowMeHow thanks mate
Hey Adam, loving the videos mate, super helpful! Do you know much the original step weighed? Wondering how much extra weight this bar puts on the vehicle? Cheers
I just installed mine today. I noticed that it was a very very tight fit for the plug that goes onto the radar unit, i had to modify the plug a little bit. Is that normal?
Hmmm was a bit ago can't really remember sorry! Get it on ok and radar working?
@@VideoShowMeHow yeah, had modify plug a fraction cause the bolt holding cover on was in the way. Yet to test it out
🤞
How the hell did you get one that was built in March??? I had a delivery date of May, and now I'm being told sometime between August and October, and then they can't even promise that! I'm being told I might have to wait until after October. When did you order?
Ah sorry to hear mate. I waited about 6 long months, ordered mid Nov Brisbane
@@VideoShowMeHow Good to see that the turnaround from build to delivery was rapid though. Loving the series. Will be catching up with the last couple of vids now. Cheers mate.
nice modification..do you want to sell stock rear skirt?
Already given away sorry bud
owh,ok..how to get new stock in your country? i'm from malaysia..malaysia and thailand market don't have the parts for x terrain model
@@muhammadfirdaus3968 new stock would be through a dealer over here, but they turn up on Facebook Marketplace etc. The X-TERRAIN is a bit different over there isn't it?
