On your belly pans you can weld you some hinges on one end ( we use to make then heavy-duty) like that when u unbolt everything it just swings down, because as your unscrewing belly pan bolts and you keep hearing THUNK lol they don't about to realign, with the hinge it makes it much easier, when burning windrows its not uncommon for one to catch fire a couple times a day down in the belly pan, we use to keep a 3 inch trash pump.set up in a near by pond or creek, after 2 or 3 in the afternoon every so often one was hauling ass to the pump lol, TD25 were bad about catching fire as well, what ever you do don't ever track the dozer no ever 100 feet without the.belly pan on, I've seen a guy ruin a new engine over a rotten looking branch!!

Great video! Who told you Cat doesn't make the reusable couplings? I work in the plant that machines and assembles all of Cats hose couplings and me make reuseables everyday.

    Hi Brandon.
This has been very good series, and quite interesting.
Thanks for taking the time to video it. I understand it's quite a process just to record it. Moving the camera all around, sometimes working with only 1 hand because your holding the camera at the same time. Then the amount of time to edit it.
I appreciate your not trying to sell knick knacks. Although you may have to at some point in time, understandable.
I'm not talking about your shirts, stickers, etc. That is something a lot of us is interested in. I'm waiting for your new designed merch to come out.
    All the best to you.
    God bless you.
    Ed from Chicago 🙂

Hey Ed! I'm glad your enjoy this series I'm actually working on finishing the 8 up today we had to run and get a few more parts.....the videoing and editing is pretty much a part time job in it self I've gotten very efficient with my videos and have made a few different camera mounts that really help....I know what you mean about the knick knacks I don't like to do a whole lot a videos trying to sell things in less it's something I can use my self and if I do I incorporate it in to my videos so you don't really notice that I'm trying to sell it for someone....hopefully merch will be out sometime this spring....as always thank you for watching!!

Hey Brandon 😊 I just saw your short with the ditching bucket. Can you fix me up with a link where you made the bucket? It is spectacular! Pulling all the organic material and topsoil out of the ditch and putting it back on the field is perfect! What a great idea - and of course you operate that machine like a dream! If you build a shallow berm on the high side of the ditch with the dug material, it will take a lot longer for that ditch to silt up. Great short!

Hey! Here is the link to that video ua-cam.com/video/_yt9mRytVGQ/v-deo.html now I didn't actually build this bucket I borrowed it from a friend of mine we have a few attachments that we borrow back and fourth like my root rake for the excavator he some times uses it to get weeds out of a couple ditches that the pump out of...this was one of my early videos so camera quality wasn't the best lol...thanks for watching some day I would like to build my own bucket like this

@@dirtgrainsteel Well if anyone could build it you could Brandon. Someday you'll find the time. Your root rake is a terrific accessory too. It's great to have friends who you can share equipment with. Thanks for the link and keep up the great work!

@@dirtgrainsteel I watched the ditch bucket video. I think it was great given that you were just getting started. Have you used your smartphone to check elevation? The detail I get from mine (for free) is pretty remarkable. You could mount it to the windshield with a suction cup for another check on slope. No point doing anymore digging than you have to, right? What became of the 70's Gradall? I used to drive by the plant in New Philadelphia OH twice a day, to and from work. Knew many people who worked there (back in the 80's) Hydraulic excavator imports were just getting a foothold in the US in those days.

Your gonna have problems with that hose leaking....the part that looks like a small I beam ,,just 6 inches down from where the hose is bolted in,,,there gonna act like two knives cutting across that hose,,,you should wrap some tape around it for extra insurance ....
