Todo esto antes de la fundación de la Escuela Yang Taijiquan

Nice :). I knew about this tv serial long ago but didn't find time to watch it.
Now, after watching this clip, I have tremendous respect for the choreographers (and now have greater motivation to watch the whole series :) ).
This fight has a good balance of elegance and brutality. It shows instances where a Tai Chi move works beautifully, and instances where the hero is forced (or decides) to take a hit or throw.
And in the latter cases, it shows the hero's ability to absorb/dissipate the hit and recover (which is also an important skill in Tai Chi).
This shows the importance of the right conditioning in martial arts. It's not just about doing the techniques more perfectly and hitting the opponent before he hits you.
Training your body to *take a hit* (in the correct way) just as important, if not more.
Whether or not this serial's depiction of Tai Chi is 100% accurate (it's probably not, as often happens in TV shows or movies), I think it's worth watching even if just for the reason I've stated above. :)

Mario García Martinez It stars Wu Jing - The Tai Chi Master. It originally was a long TV series.... never subbed in any language outside of China as far as I know. It was released in a condensed version as a 2 DVD movie with English subtitles a little while later. Hope that helps..... there's awesome fighting throughout the series btw.....

Como se nota el trabajo de un buen director de fotografía y director de cine... he visto incontables películas de artes marciales y estos dos actores son muy buenos... pero en esta coreografía esta desperdiciada por la mala ejecución de los planos, los planos y el orden son un desastre, la iluminación es muy mala y esta rodado a 25 fotogramas por segundo cuando en cine se rueda en 24... es una lastima ya que la coreografía esta aceptable.

I used to love this movie 20 years ago. However, now I just laugh at these types of actions. They are just so fake and full of unrealistic combat techniques. Put them up in a ring with a good MMA fighter and they won't last 1 round.
