Can I transform this chocolate cake without a recipe?

- With nothing but basic instructions, can I come up with a way to honor this young fan's chocolate cake recipe? Do I transform it enough to make it truly my own? You DECIDE!
Cake Ingredients:
-220g of flour
-65g of cocoa powder
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 stick of butter
-350g of sugar
-1/2 cup of vegetable oil
-splash of vanilla
-2 eggs
-240ml of hot coffee
-240ml whole milk
Mousse Ingredients:
-2 cups of heavy whipping cream
-dash of vanilla
-1/3 cup of cocoa powder
-1/2 cup of powdered sugar
-2 tablespoons of corn starch
Toppings:
-pretzels
-raspberries
Steps:
1. Sift together 220g of flour, 65g of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a bowl.
2. Cream 1 stick of butter with 350g of sugar and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil.
3. Add two room temp eggs to the butter, mixing on low speed. Add a splash of vanilla.
4. Mix together 240ml of hot coffee with 240ml of whole milk.
5. Poor 1/3 of your dry mix into the creamed butter mixture, allowing it to fully incorporate before adding 1/2 of your milk/coffee. Repeat until its all fully combined and no further.
6. preheat oven to 350F.
7. Fill a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper and add all the batter, spreading it out evenly.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick or cake tester can be inserted in the center and pulled out fully clean.
9. Invert onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
For Frosting:
1. Add 2 cups of heavy whipping cream into a chilled bowl of a stand mixer with a splash of vanilla.
2. sift in 1/3 cup of cocoa powder with 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of corn starch.
3. Whisk first on low speed to combine, then at full speed to whip to stiff peaks.
For assembly:
1. Crumble up pretzels and wash raspberries.
2. Cop the cake into small, roughly 1 inch pieces.
3. Layer mousse, cake, pretzels in a fancy dish of your choice. Top with a little more pretzels and fresh raspberries.
