- The Original Doom now has Ray Tracing thanks to a free mod by sultim-t. It's pretty cool seeing how new lighting completely freshens up an old game.

They kind of made this into PSX Doom except with properly glowing lights... dark, dingy, creepy, shadowy, except the PSX doesn't force you to compensate with a torch 😮

This with the atmospheric psx/64 music and sounds would be amazing.
If you would have told someone when Doom first came out that people would still be finding new ways to look at it and play it in 2022, I don't think they would have believed you!

I just love old FPS games so much
Couple this with HD sounds and the 3do music and some of the better looking alpha sprites (for example the armor with the boots added on) and you got yourself a immersive way to play doom!

doom with raytracing is what we saw as preteens in the early 90s when this was released. every new generation was so real...

FYI if you try playing again, consider going into the options and changing the MIDI player to Fluidsynth or SDL. The soundtrack won't sound nearly as wimpy.

I booted up the original doom except this time it has hyper realistic and the demon’s eyes started to bleed......but that parts normal.

I want this remade with ray tracing from the ground up then it would look awesome with the same style all looking modern . They already have half of the weapons already made from doom eternal like the plasma gun shot gun rocket launcher even the hand gun along with the chainsaw and the classic suite look also with the new imps and cacodemons hell knights etc.
For me that is what i wanted from doom i just didn't like there new take of doom 2016 and eternal game play style.
Its nothing like how doom classic was run and gun simplistic fun no more shooting the pinkies from behind or the silly shooting the cacodemons to do the attack move no more zombies with stupid shields or poll swinging jumping half way across the map that looks imposable to get to. No rifle guns no armour or hp coming out of an enemies etc etc. It's all well and good if you like all of that but for me it just took everything away from me what made the classic doom so fun and enjoyable along with the music i had more fun with the classic brutal doom mode mod with higher textures packs along with modern textures keeping with the same looking visuals but update than i did with the new reimaged doom games but it still look old and i cant understand why they haven't made this from the ground up and why i stuck with killing floor 1 and 2 for so long because i want the classic doom to be remade so badly i miss the fun days that i had with it
