That's a concern that the kotas broke, all four. Personally I could not afford a Kota or a Watersnake,but they are nice looking units. The costway is a tiller handle and cheap enough. As mentioned, I had started with a second hand unit that worked well but accidentally fell off the boat into the harbour 😂. That will teach me for not securing it. So I bought a new one and it gets regular use. Like anything, they need to be looked after and worked within their limits. Good luck with the costway , just remember to give the prop part a good wash everytime after use and a dose of wd40 every now and then.
I just ordered one the other day i hope its better than the minn kotas ive had. Went threw 4 minn kotas in a year they all broke on me
