  • Engine cleaning with a pressure washer - Audi A4 B8 2.0 TDI
    You can see how I clean the dust, dirt, grime and grease from the engine bay using my Karcher K2, a snow foam lance, some wheel cleaner, brake pads cleaner and some brushes.
    This was a complete wash of the engine, not only wiping with some cloths.
    The car started after this, so I was lucky. :D
    I'm one step closer to fix my car.

    Zacząłem oglądać mycie silnika, a skończyłem na wpatrywaniu się w trawę. Jest naprawdę nie ziemska👍

      😂 thank you! 🙏 that’s 3 years old seeded grass. But part of it will be taken out because I will start building my garage. 😁

    First thing, never use high pressure water. Second always cover the alternator with a plastic bag or something similar before spraying anything all over the engine. Lastly once you finish use air (low) pressure to push all water away to dry to engine then use some microfiber cloth. Most importantly give the car a 10 minutes drive around to speed up the drying as it so important

      Hello! I understand there is a risk with pressure water, but if all connectors are good the risk is low. Why is it important to speed up the drying?

    Salut!
    You have a plastic cover between your wipers and engine bay. Remove that and try to clean everything there because there is where te most dirt and 🍃 leafs are and it keeps hummidity there => rust in time. I just did that on my a4 from 2014 and i got 4 handfull of leafs and dirt out. Bafta, am scris in engleza si pentru străini.

    Ну так мыть подкапотное пространство оч странно, мозги, релюшки все же под капотом. Не опасно ли так мыть и можно ли вообще ?

      It is dangerous indeed. That’s why I was saying that with an okder car you might get issues because not all the electrical connections are water proof. Somethimes you are lucky and you have no problem, like I was 😂

    Do you need to cover altetnator or something else?

    • @istillplaywithcars
      @istillplaywithcars  2 роки тому +1

      Hi! No, I did not covered anything. Washed directly, just as you see in the video. 😁 I’m not sure if it’s safe, but I did it anyway 😂

    How much this car Burn oil?

    • @istillplaywithcars
      @istillplaywithcars  2 роки тому +1

      Hi! Good question. I have it since January and I didn’t add oil at all. I drove it around 3000km. So I can say that until now I haven’t noticed any oil consumption. But TDI engines are known for almost no oil consumption. 😁👍

      Hi! I’ve explained why I didn’t remove it. But it’s not only that I’ve cleaned the cover 😂 the sides of the engine and all accesories are cleaned. Right?

    eu personal nu as face asta, nu ma intereseaza ca la motor sa fie curat ci sa se vada eventuale scurgeri. daca totusi ai avut unele si le-ai reparat, merita sa-l cureti sa observi alte eventuale scurgeri pe viitor.

    • @istillplaywithcars
      @istillplaywithcars  2 роки тому +1

      Da, te inteleg. E mereu cu risc. Dar daca motorul e in general murdar nu o sa observi anumite scurgeri. Pot sa spun ca sunt multumit dupa spalare, nu am scurgeri. 😁
