- In this video, learn how to sew an easy reversible two-handled hobo bag. I used the free template from Very Purple Person, so make sure to head to her blog and thank her and to see her step-out tutorial. I also used rayon in the video, but I think it'd look really cool woven or quilted.

Oh wow! This was the first-ever thing I made on my sewing machine! It's gorgeous and have now made 100's! I also lengthen the straps after making my first one x

I just got a new sewing machine this afternoon. My first stitches were darts. Then, I made a draw string bag really fast. Next, I made my furbaby a new t-shirt. Afterwards, I started watching videos to brush up and get ideas. Three hours of watching videos and I finally found YOU! I love your videos. You're upbeat, straight to what I need to know. Great tutorial thanks! Now if I can get my sewing machine replaced I will be set. My old bag broke last week ( my daughter and I were literally standing at the start line of a 5k Run we do every year and the zipper self destructed lol). I am a disabled single mom so replacing my 50 year old machine will be hard but I will because I have a quilt to finish lol. And now a bag to make. Your fabric line would make an amazing bag I think??

I made this bag for my mom for Mother's day. I am a beginner with sewing and this was my first ever bag and it turned out beautiful. I had to do it twice first try I messed up on the straps reading the instruction, 2nd time was a charm while watching the video ....

It reminds me of the sixties when I was a teeny bopper. lol I was wondering if you had some videos using faux leather for bags and also a video for arm chair caddies? I have my fabric but cannot figure out how to place the clear pocket on the outside you fill from the inside. pocket. There is no one on YT that shows how that is done. How would you finish off the straps if you wanted them to tie in a know when finished instead of being all one strap?

I have upholstery fabric, and thin leather, does it really matter where you leave your opening for the turn. I'm thinking to leave a larger opening at the bottom of the lining for the turn due to the thickness of the fabric I want to use.

Hi! I'm in the UK. I have just attempted to make this bag twice, using the same pattern with another demonstrator, what a nightmare! The picture of the finished bag gave no resemblance to yours, and the instructions were appalling. I have just found your demo and my faith in myself is restored! Your instructions are fab, easy to follow and fun. I also think that there are markings on the pattern which give you guidance to enlarge the bag itself and the straps. So just going to undo the bag for the last time!
