Hey y'all, that's me in the video. I had a great time that day. Lots of great memories. A lot of things happened that year. Needless to say, my wife in this video stopped receiving lucky kisses around the end of that year.
@@robbernath Yes we got divorsed. Yes she was a nice lady, but there are always two sides to a coin. We had different values and views of how a marriage should be done. I will not besmirg her on social media. what happened to us will remain between us.
Really, really, really hope the November 1990 episode in which someone hit the $5000 slot four times will eventually surface; would love to see it, as I've only ever heard about it.
From the March 5, 1984, episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT 👉🏻, which featured sub-Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 Kyle Aletter (née Kyle Kathleen Aletter), filling in for regular Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 Holly Hallstrom.
I don't know if you're still fixing up the captioning but the "(inaudible)" part is the word "quartz". I watched another video that had this same offering and robot!
Bob Barker is the BEST HOST EVER. He is a very funny guy, and I love the witty things and anecdotes Drew Carey sucks so bad. i cringe whenever I watch the show today or see clips on UA-cam. oh and I hate George Grey whenever he tells the details of the items that the contestant has to guess the right price. He just says the name of the item and the lbs, kg, ounces😒

YOU STILL LOOK GOOD.
you're so full of it
👏👏👏
Are you saying indirectly you got divorced that year? A shame because she looked like a nice girl.

So awesome!! This was the ultimate 80s !!! My childhood!! A perfect example of why I loved watching TPIR as a kid!!! Made me want to play and win!!!
Bob:”you do that one more time and I’m gonna want you to give me a kiss before you leave” 😂
I'm surprised such a comment was allowed on daytime TV in that era.
At that time, James was the second-ever contestant to hit the $5,000 slot twice, after Barbara in 1983.
Yep 👍!
$10K Is A Great Win For A 1984 Episode Of TPIR
Yep 👍!
Nearly $27k in todays money!
🤩😘
Who knew that kissing a Plinko chip would bring such good luck?
James hit the 🎯 on Plinko twice !!
Yep 👍!
according to an online calculator .. 10,000 in 1984 is worth about 26,000 today. Hope he invested it (minus what he had to pay in taxes)
Winning $10,000 is a great win.

Furthermore, this aired during the Big Bucks Blowout last month.
@@markyyy94 True.
Are you James the contestant?
@@goldfieldfireworks7352 No 👎🏻, but I do know the exact airdates 💨💨📆📆 for these episodes of THE PRICE IS RIGHT 👉🏻: THE BARKER ERA, however.
That win was worth $24,713 today… plus the $100 is worth $297
HOLY CRAP! *Johnny Olson!*
And I would've taken a kiss from James and then some! 😍😍😍😍😍
I beg your pardon
10,000$ is nothing to sneeze at, even today. i love plinko, definitely one of the best games.
Great win! I wish they'd bring the intro music back.
For ten grand back in year 1984 is the same as over twenty-eight grand in today’s 2023 value.

James gonna get lucky tonight 😅
Bob never asks the men to pull the 100 dollars out of his pocket, 🤣
No but when I got off stage, that was the first thing they asked for as I started to sign my life away
James earned an extra hundred 💯 Dollars 💸 !
Yep 👍!
Nope they took it back as I signed my life away when I got off stage
The flashlight was obvious. 😮

James looks somewhat like Tom Wopat of 'The Dukes Of Hazzard'. Even dressed for the part. But, he also looks a bit like Orlando Bloom.
Lori {James' wife} is a trembling young woman who is proud of her hubby.
James is 🔥🔥🔥 woof
And a great head of hair too!
James was a nice looking man! Congratulations 🎈
What a gorgeous man...
Bob didn't let him get the 100 out of his pocket like he does the women.
Very handsome dude.
james can PLINKO ME any time! lolxxx
I wonder whatever became of the robot.
He was deactivated after Johnny passed away. A shame they did that though
@@RobMoldovan Johnny 5???????

His hairy chest is fantastic. I can't really pay attention to anything else.
He is a very handsome guy, Probably one of the more handsome contestants in that time.
I couldn't stop staring. He looked like he belonged in a 80s TV series.
Really cheap back then. Now it's 10 Thousand. Except for the Big Money day when it could be $1 Million at Plinko.
