Aired May 8, 1984. Earlier that episode, Captain John won a Cadillac playing Golden Road and then won his showcase, setting a then-winnings record of $39,518.
Omg! Lorraine’s facial expressions! Look at her after Bob mentions her big grin, and after the prize to be bid on is shown! 😂 And I thought the poor girl was going to hyperventilate when Bob asked her what her bid was! Wonder if she ever got on stage?
The Mr. Coffee was quite expensive up until the late 80s when they simplified the design greatly, and good cheap clones started flooding in from Japan.

That lady probably never watched the price is right a day in her life, she looked totally confused. I normally do not make derogatory statements but that lady was clueless
Why? bc she didn't know how to play? My grandmother had it and let me tell you, it is nothing to joke about. That disease literally strips your mind away. One day you think you are back 50 years in the past, the next you could be fine. You may get so bad you do not recognize your family anymore. It is a cruel, heartless disease that is heartbreaking for everyone involved. The last time we saw my gram, my dad was heartbroken bc she didn't know him, she thought my brother was my dad. If you lose someone to this disease and suffer through it with them you would never joke about it like that. Its nothing to laugh about. Someone who obviously has never watched TPIR, nor seen Plinko is going to be a little confused.
I bet you that lady that bid $850 in contestants row is really mad that she missed her chance to play Plinko by $1. I know I would be if I bid $850 and the price was $849.
Johnny and Bob. Two absolute legends.
and now I remember why as a kid I liked this show so much!😅

Jean was a bit nervous, but did good!

I would've worn a red tie with that shirt he was wearing. He already had the red pocket square.😊
Red must have been "in" at that time.
@@Sean-me4fv Maybe it was.😄
$6,000 then was not bad.
6000 in 1984 is equivalent to 17,447 now. Not bad
From the May 8, 1984, episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT 👉🏻.
4:57 it lands in the 1,000 space yet 500 lights up.
🤔
Hey, it was in '84. Technology wasn't that good back then.
@@leafy4755 Not technology, someone backstage with a row of switches to flip depending on the slot it landed in. He missed by one.
@@josephcote6120 I’m pretty sure they used sensors back then… I’m guessing it was a fault as they are all connected
Great show
Happy birthday Plinko
You made the price is right fun
Smile lady.
You tell her!
No sht. She was awful.
I don’t think she knew where she was. Lol
$849 was the bid , so poor Lorraine was 1 Dollar 💵 over ! 😕
I can use a new gas range right now. I'm getting mighty hungry. 😋
I guess she was trying to be nice because she should’ve bid $801
Almost 40 years later and the price is right prices are still too damn high! $79 for a coffee maker?
California prices lol

Poor Jean. She wanted to kiss him but she was too short.

In 1984, the technology wasn't that good; my childhood was even worse.
What in the hell is going on with Lorraine? Partial face paralysis?
That lady probably never watched the price is right a day in her life, she looked totally confused. I normally do not make derogatory statements but that lady was clueless
Yep 👍, she sure was, Donna.
She should not have attended if she had never watched
Jean was mentating like a stuck Plinko chip but she got lucky in the end.
That's was a lot of money back then
Has she ever seen the show before?
JEAN WINS $6,000 PLINKO

One 🍪 was good for 5,000 Dollars 💸 !!
F*** Jean. Jean the joyless barely had any use for that money.
Do you lose all sense of reality when you reach a certain age?
Some people do sadly, especially if they suffer from dementia.
Unfortunately the lady in red was getting early signs of altimers

I think BB gets rude sometimes.

Their family brings them. Heck, if I could have taken my gram when she was alive OMG, she was a hoot. Now that would have been an episode!
