I’m in the starter phase and have a side and back taper, and just decided yesterday that I wanna grow out the back for a more full head. Glad to know I’m not in this alone 💪🏾

@@tevinpowell242I know I am. My dreads are 15 months old and I got my taper around a week ago. Hated it so now I'm growing the taper while still having my locs. By the time of next year July imma get cornrows to speed up the grow while also getting my regular scheduled retwists for my locs. By (I say) around August of 2024 my locs will be long enough to get crotchet with the new growth.
The only thing that'll suck is how it'll look like it's one year after the reattachment, but it'll be worth it

This full head process is killing me!!!
Had my last haircut on 10/19, so it's been a month since I started growing my sides out. I actually like it right now. In about a month or so I'll see how I feel. Last time I tried to grow my sides out, I cut everything off after a month and a half. Hopefully I stick to it this time. Thanks for the motivation. Also, I started microlocs on the middle part a couple days ago

i got high tops, had them locked in for a year now, and started growing my hair out two years ago, i really want to invest in getting a taper so i can tie back my hair and do some styles, how would i go about achieving this if i already am locked up?
also, how do you wash your locs to maintain the retwist or section (if possible), but also get your scalp to avoid dandruff?

I grew my undercut when my locs were shorter I had a hightop at the time and only got more locs in the back of my head cuz my hightop was to high up 1 year and a half later I’m growing them out again to lower the sides 😅 wish I just got them twisted when I did the ones in the back which are now basically fully locd and you wouldn’t be able to tell their shorter cuz of how long the top of my head is I just hope it ends up being the same for this but if not I’ll probably just trim some locs or attach some who knows getting my hair re twisted on Tuesday and gonna braid the sides with it then get a cut hopefully it looks good lol

I got starter locs 2 days ago! How do I treat them and help them grow? And how long does it take for them to loc?
Moisturize them from time to time, make sure you put a bonnet on at night and everybody locs are different so probably a year and some months
Imma be real he don’t even need a full head, tapper looks clean with that style he got.

Since your hair is pretty long you should just don donor locs from the top and attach them to the bottom.
