  • Transcription of James Saranos' solo on Pennies From Heaven, as performed by Veronica Swift along with many other great musicians. This was recommended to me by a friend, and I gotta say it's a good one. I hope you enjoy it!

Wow! Thank you so much for the generous title 😂. I appreciate your time and generosity! Hopefully I can knock out some cleaner one choruses in the future! 😅

It would be really cool if you added the chords when you transcribe jazz solos and then we can analyze the solo right from the video!

@@PieInTheSky9 it’s almost like you missed the point of my comment entirely. some people literally can’t do that yet. No matter how hard they tried. Do you think someone who’s brand new at playing music could just sit down and figure out what the chords are by ear? You’re delusional if you actually believe that

Being in New Orleans, the birthplace of this great flavor of music, I'm a little spoiled because I can name five clubs off the top of my head, and that's just on one street (Frenchman). If you ever go, try Snug Harbor, Three Muses, the Spotted Cat, Blue Nile, D.B.A., or the Maison. All of these clubs are less than a mile away from the New Orleans Jazz Museum on Esplanade Ave. In your local area, just look for "jazz clubs" or "music clubs" and if you call you can ask when the next time they have a Jazz band performing.
