This video is very helpful and informative, thank you so much! Thanks for showing the papaya at all stages too, unripe, ripe and rotten. I am learning.
A wonderful video, thank you ❤ I am in Jacksonville Florida and never picked a papaya ever and non of theirs look like yours in the Sprout Market, can you buy papaya frozen??? Again, thank you so much ❤💯
I want to learn to be one with my papayas! You are helping me. I learned that papayas can be hard on the inside and so you waste too much of the fruit if you cut them too early. Now it looks like soft on the outside means soft on the inside and you don't waste it by cutting it too soon.
Very helpfull, thank you so much ! Maybe next time you could tell us for what use choose a particular papaya. Wich one should i choose for a cake, a salad or to eat fresh etc.
I thanks you very much of your sharing guidance. Papaya is my favourite fruit and having learned from your expertise, I will follow your guidance when buying my fruit. You have certainly explained very well and clear, plus you even showed thoroughly in demonstrating which I am very pleased to come across your post . Thanks you for your efforts and time. Very much appreciated
Thanks for the interesting video on how to identify a ripe papaya. I hope you can share to us on how to choose a good quality and still unripe soursop or guyabano and how to store it until it gets ripe. We always end up with a blackened and overripe soursop which is unedible. Thank you Sir.
Спасибо! Теперь я буду знать, как выбирать папайю! Вчера купила желто-бурого цвета папайю, разрезала и она оказалась неспелой! И я ее выбросила ($4.99) в мусор. Теперь буду знать как выбирать! Спасибо!
Very helpful.I cut a papaya few days ago.I was tricked by the skin colour that has turned orange from head to tail.As my knife went in I cn feel the crunch.Immediately I knew it wasnt ripe.Should hv watch yr video earlier. @@benfruitsexpert I’m sorry to bother you again I have another question for you once again thank you so much I know you’re an expert my question to you is how long from the time you get a ripe papaya if I chop it I put in the freezer how long do they really really stay fresh?
@@leboonleboon1638 no worries , to specifically answer your question from the digestive purposes , don't chop if you gonna keep a long period of time . It's depends the whether and where you store . Make it simple which is leave it around 25-30'c temperature . it gonna ripe from what i share about 3-4days . once you chop and put into the fridge it only keep 1-2 days maximum . for digestive purposes , you gonna choose the ripe and soft . if go for ripe with 1 days it still hard you have to wait until soft then you may chop it
What if you cut into an unripe papaya, before you saw this video and didn't know how to know if it was ready or not to cut into?, Is there any way of making it get ripe after being cut into?
I think it's up to the eater because I just watched a fruitarian say fruits are best after there's mold. Idl fruit moldy but close to moldy. I like soft juicy and sweet fruit.
Good tips, but there is a problem if you are a fruit seller. Customers will keep pressing the heads of the papayas, and some will get mushy, and later no one will buy them. But if they buy it after finding a ripe one, it may work. Great videos - hope you restart making more. Thanks.
Thank you for this, you may have saved me from opening it early. Your family owns the fruit shop? Fruit shops are non existent where im from so i think thats a cool idea.
Is it kind of soup ? If use papaya for soup, choose total green like what I show for salad makes . No need to ripen it , because once it ripe it won't turn color , it just a little soft . Because this kind of papaya which is cut off too early from tree

After watch your video and one before it, I know how to make sure they are ripe now.

Where you stall
take a drink every time he says "Papaya"

choose the papaya which is going overripe easy and much more sweeter

Drinking game suggestion: have a drink every time he says papaya. 😁
What if I can’t get high quality papaya. At the super market they are mostly green, and the skin looks dirty already.
It means lack of supply on that period and they took different grade of the papaya or took it too earlier from the trees
Excellent. Very Slow and fully Informative. But you can reduce the time of the Video by some Minutes
For others, its 8 minutes well spent, don't want to deprive others of that joy do you?

How long does it take a green one to get ripe?
If according from the video I share . It take 2-3 days to ripe in the room or outdoor temperature of 27-33°c
