Those are fair points, but I would argue that the most important part of learning is asking questions, and if you're having trouble learning a subject and need to ask questions, it's harder to do that individually than it is in the regular approach. I.E. If I was learning about chemistry and I didn't understand what valence was, I wouldn't be able to understand that until i went to the group class. As such, if I needed to learn something that used valence before my next group class, I would be put at a disadvantage in regards to the regular model.
