Hey Devin, that "glue" in the headlight is called butyl tape. Its a waterproof putty sealant used to seal lights and even vapor barriers inside door cards. As you are pulling the tape apart, instead of making it all stretchy you can take a razor blade and cut along it. Makes it super easy to separate the two pieces of the headlight. I used to work for BMW and whenever I had to take apart a door the foam vapor barrier would be bonded to the inner door with the stuff. I always used used a heat gun and a razor blade to get it apart without ripping the foam. Hope this is useful for you.
Ugh I wish they made lights like these for the IX's. Looks so Sick! Great Video Devin. Thanks for walking through on the install of these beautiful lights
This is very cool. I would go chrome wheels and I would go with a Batmobile theme, red pin strips, or outlines. It is a highlight to the black stealth look of this car.
Light mods are cool. It sucks in Hawaii because we cannot modify our lights from stock. We can't even use leds if it didn't come stock because we have annual car safety inspections that regulate certain mods.
At 15:44 he is using a npt cable gland as well. I’m not sure what exact kind he has with the rubber inside of it but that is what they’re called since he didn’t link it as far as I can see
you should tap into a fuse that is either powered when the ignition is on or the engine is on. that Bluetooth module will always have power to it and will drain your battery
I have been looking for this exact video since you have it done on the first Evo, and you magically happen to post it now! can't wait to do this mod but I am def intimidated! side note tho... have you considered installing a fuse block? I want to install it on my Evo but don't have the wiring yet and can't figure out where to mount the fuse block either, it is useful for having gauges and other light accessories to make those installs simple instead of tapping in stock fuse box
Thanks for the updates video I’ve had nothing but problems with my lit lightz.. one side of the driver puts out wrong color .. if you swap the lights the problem goes to the other light .. I contacted lit lightz and wasn’t much help so I ordered a new blue tooth controller and didn’t fix the issue so now they want me to buy a whole new $170 setup .. not offering me any money off or warranty as it’s been over a year .. so I’ll be out the original money plus $30 for Bluetooth and now another 170 for a whole new kit .. not happy with them at all
@joe, We try to take care of our customers as much as we can. However, you're not telling the whole story. You initially reach out to us on 8/31/20, asking for assistance. We directed you to fill out our troubleshooting form to help us get a better idea of how the kit was set up and asked to provide an order# to start a warranty claim. We didn't hear from you until just recently, 3/27/21. You told us you tried the troubleshooting steps, and you could not provide an order# since the kit was bought from a friend. We then stated warranties are non-transferable, and if you require any parts, a new kit would need to be purchased as we don't sell the pieces from the Evo kit stand alone. After a couple of weeks went by, we heard from you again on 4/12. You purchase a Bluetooth controller because you thought that might help (we never said to buy a Bluetooth controller). We ship the controller. Once you tried the controller, you said that it did not work. We then stated it's possible the driver could be the source of the problem. However, if it was the driver, we couldn't sell it; for one, we didn't carry the specific older version of the driver you have, and two, we didn't sell the parts for the Evo standalone. You come back saying to send a link to the driver. Once again we advise of we cannot sell you the driver. That was the last time we heard from you. Right now, the only item you've purchased from us directly is a Bluetooth controller, which can be returned for a refund. If you would've bought the kit from us and the warranty expired, we could make an exception. However, the kit was purchased from a friend, so factors during the exchange could cause damage to the items. That's why we state warranties are non-transferable. With that said, you're more than welcome to email support@litlightz.com for a discount on a new kit and return the controller.
Think if you go with red wheels, you should do something similar to the blue ones (the blue and black powders mixed) so a red powder and black powder mix
hi Devin, pretty sick cars and headlights, can you please do how to properly adjust those Vland headlight beam height alignment? I got the same headlight but my low beam doesn't aiming straight? :(
it's nice headlights but I still think the sequential signal/indicator on the front headlights needs to be brighter, its quite dim compared to the main beam and teh DRLs, especially at nights. The signal on the tailights are fine though. I have driven passed Lancer who use the vland headlights and many times I couldn't clearly notice if they actually turning their turning signals on the road.
Hey Devin I have been searching for that lock screw thing you used on the back of the bulb cover where the wires goes through the back and no luck. If you can point me in the right direction please and thank you 🤙🏾💯
Gotta stop and drop whatever I'm doing when Devin uploads 💯💪
Even when getting money
Your to clever for your own good devin.keep up the good work you clever ole sod!!!
Damn, imagine being so popular a company uses your videos as their QR code instructional video. THAT shit is fucking cool

They're waterproof adjustable cable glands joints. Amazon has a few sets of various sizes
At 15:44 he is using a npt cable gland as well. I’m not sure what exact kind he has with the rubber inside of it but that is what they’re called since he didn’t link it as far as I can see

Just wondering why you didnt just go with LED bulbs? instead of using HIDs.
How sick you a matte half-wrap look on the half-wrap evo X? 😍
I think the electric blue Evo 8 is in need of the varis body kit😳😳
