I recommend adding TSS to the title because I'm planning my TSS Warlock and didn't even consider your build because the lack of TSS in the title. I've found it through the Arcanist How to.
Hi, bro! I thought it was a good build, so I started to build it, but then I saw that the "Devastation" ability in my game (Steam version 1.1.4.2) does not have "Cold Damage" unlike what you have, instead it says "Fire Damage" in my game. I understand now that I need to change something. I do not like "Overload" because it is not correctly described: just "chance" - it's funny, 1%, 50% or maybe 99% - should be the exact figure, and it is not here. Instead of the entire top line, I plan to take "Olexra's Flash Freeze" and/or "Callidor's Tempest" but lack buttons and fingers on my hands. :) Also need to think about changes in the "Devotion" tree. I thank you heartily.
Devastation has fire/aether by default, yea. You really need the conversion first to use it. You get global aether to cold from Star Pact and Harra's Shoulderguards and 100% fire to cold conversion from the conduit. Before you have that gear it is better to not use it, but rather just focus on Trozan Sky Shard alone. Overload is great mostly because of the aether resistance and offensive ability that it proves, the chance for burn/frostburn/electrocute is not that strong and only applies to skills with %weapon damage anyway. Olexra's Flash Freeze is a good AoE lvling skill, but falls off significantly as you won't be able to freeze most purple bosses and none of the nemesis or celestial bosses without Mage Slayer set. Callidor's Tempest is a better skill overall, but also has fire/aether/lightning/burn damage, which you would need to convert to cold... so kinda same problem that Devastation has.
@@rektbyprotoss Thanks for the answer! But I'm at level 50 now, I use any equipment, so I change skills all the time. Now I think it's better for me to use elemental damage rather than just cold damage. Thank you anyway.
I found an icredible Alkamos Scythe and inmediatly started a build for it. Unfortunatly there is a legendary that makes the Alkamos Scythe feel like a dull butterknife. So bye bye Alkamos Scythe. Too bad, some MI's are really better than legendaries.
@@bertmanize The green one is only meme potential anyways, but meme builds can be fun to play :D I got a Soulrend (purple Scythe) Reaper aswell, might do a video for him soonish.
You can get the blueprint for this amulet from the vendor in the tomb of the heretic. At least it has at least a chance to sell it, so you can use the vendor reset trick or just farm the place to get it eventually. The blueprint also technically is a random global drop, but the TotH vendor is the most reliable way. After that you need to craft the conduit and pray to rngesus that you get the right prefix. That will probably cost you lots of Ugdenblooms.
I've been trying to get the Outcast Secret, but can't get it. I've killed her so many times and it won't drop. Do I have to be Nemesis with her or am I just unlucky? BTW I finished my Warlock 2 days ago and it is very strong. Trozan set with Cataclysm set and three parts of the (what's it called Vanguard set?) lvl 68 jewelry set that gives a bunch of armor and life. With that elemental Sigil the character can facetank everything except uberbosses. Trozan adds lightning to Sigil so Hand of Ultos goes hand in hand with Sigil. Went Amatock instead of Time Dilation, because the character hardly uses Mirror.
You gotta be nemesis with the outcast, yes. Anasteria has three different versions and only the last one (which spawns once you reach nemesis) has a 6% dropchance for outcast's secret. Yea generally a full Trozan's Warlock will be stronger than this build. The main goal of this was just to make a build around cold devastation.
Ouch, having to go through that dungeon again and again is tedious. As a sidenote. You make great content, but cutting down your videos from 50m to 25m would be great. I am also surprised that you only do hardcore. My warlock has 17k life, with full maivens and prismatic lense, but it got shotgunned at almost full health because off how GD calculates crits. How do you deal with that on hardcore? (and yes my da is fine)
@@bertmanize arpgs are a little grindy after all, Outcast's Secret isn't that hard to get compared to some other items though like e.g. purple Alkamos Rings. I did play SC for about 1k hours before switching over to HC, in the long run HC lets you enjoy the game a much longer period of time imo. If your DA is fine, how did you get crit at all? Even with 0% chance to get crit you should always dodge shotguns in this game. If I were to tank Gargabol's Volcanoes or Zantarin's volley, pretty much any of my chars would die aswell. TL;DR: Follow rule #1: just don't get hit loooool :D About video lengh: I can imagine the videos being a little too long for people, but I wanna make them understandable for newer players (hence the longish introduction explaining every skill node, etc.), but also show off some exciting fights to please the veterans. That's why I also manually do time stamps under each video, so that people can just skip to the part they are interested in the most. That said, let me know which part of the video you personally feel is the most redundant!
Well you start the video explaining everything, which is correct. After all this is especially good for new players. But then you start going on about possible gear changes and later in the video you go over the gear again saying everything you have changed. This to me felt confusing for new players and repetative. Also because you do it again at the end of the video with the scepter which was clearly a test that should have done before making the video so you coud have quickly mentioned that the dmg output was nearly the same, but the sigil gives more sustain. So it's a matter of player preference. About the timestamps, that is great, but if I skipped some stuff, I might have missed the gearchange and get confused. So I felt like I had to watch the whole thing anyway. End thought: I have watched a lot of build videos over the years and they are almost always between 10-30 minutes. For me about 25 minutes feels like the sweet spot. That said every youtuber has it's own style and thank god for that. Keep up the good work, your builds are great and that is from a 3k+ hours of GD veteran.

It's not only armor, but also devotions, components, augments and skills from masteries. I try to aim for 30% overcap on ultimate as there are lots of enemies that can reduce your resistances by ~30%.
