As a first time builder two months ago RGB was the toughest part of the build!
When your RGB costs more than an entire regular PC...

I notice you didn't mention the *INSANE* cost of the new Corsair fans. $160 for just *THREE* fans is highway robbery. That breaks down to $53 PER FAN! That build had over $450 JUST in fans! That's a huge nope from me.

You’re not wrong. I bought 3 sets of 3 plus a single. The capable AIO doesn’t even have a LED screen like the normal Elite does. I still have two hubs in the back plus a commander pro from my AIO (only to make the screen work) and the commander and RGB that came with the case (5000T). Still a clustermuck of wires.
Should have added "'and expensive" in the title :)
I'm a big fan of Corsair, as of now, had minimal issues with iCUE, I do have the previous gen of it, but it does make managing my RGB much easier.

i wish i had a pc that nice. good job.
My first build was in 2019 in a Montech case and I bought 3 extra Montech white fans from Amazon, the case came with a controller mounted on the back that is controlled by a dedicated in-case switch, but the three extra Montech fans also came with an extra fan and ARGB hub controller, with an included remote also, but it turns out I didn't have to install that, the remote worked with the cases included ARGB hub. But all then damn fans had two wires, one ARGB 5v 3 pin and one 4 pin PWM fan connection, it was a huge mess of wires, and then I had a 700w bequite non-moduler 80 puls Gold PSU and that didn't help, but I made it work! I still have this build and use this build, but I have upgraded the GPU, the build consists of a 9th Gen i7 9700 and RTX 3060ti. I use it for 1080p gaming and it still works fine, it has a 1 TB XPG NVMe SSD and a silicon power 1 TB regular SSD for some extra storage. I won't ever sell the computer for sentimental reasons, many hours of gaming fun.
Future builders will look back at the RGB era with disbelief!

Each set of 3 fans is $150. We had to buy 3 sets for our 5000T plus a single for the exhaust fan ($50). It is simple but too expensive
Hey I’m planning on making your 400 dollars pc that has the ryzen 5 4500 and rx 580, I am using a different case is there any tips or parts you would change out. This pc will mostly be used for Fortnite and some other e sports titles

Whats better for a budget build. ryzen 5500 with 6600xt or 5600 with 6600?
If it's in your budget I'd do Ryzen 5600 + 6600xt but if not than do the Ryzen 5600 + 6600 with Ryzen 5500 you get no pcie 4 support
If you don't care about pcie 4 support than get Ryzen 5500 + 6600xt
5600 + 6600, 5600 allows for a lot more gpu upgrades without needing to worry about bottleneck + the xt variant of the 6600 isnt much of a preformance upgrade.

Lots of unicorn vomit for the kids.
Nothing against Toasty Bros but I’m done with Corsair. I spent hundreds on a full QL120 setup, their commander, and RGB hub. Out of the 6 fans, 4 of them have a stuck LED and Corsair wants me to rip it all apart to get the serial number off of them. Don’t even get me started on how terrible iCue is.
