This is amazing ive had this patellafermoral syndrome since i was 16 and now currently 25. On and off pains in the years but wow this taping technique has worked a charm. Theres instant relief from the pain like as though I have strong knees 🤣 i wish i did.
Hello. What helped you? How did you get rid of this problem? Do you wear the tapes all the time? Or did it go away and no longer need to be worn? Thank you

@@DD-sx9tq While the taping helped it did not solve my problem. Sometimes the pain was so bad I could barely walk - took high dose of Meloxicam for 2 months. MRI negative besides minor inflammation. Ortho said it will eventually "burn out" which is what happened. 6 months later it got better on its own, and took a year to be fully functional again. I don't have any useful advice for you, I am sorry.

Should he perform the stepping down with the injured leg or the healthy one?? Because he taped the left knee but was using the right limb to test pain??!!
I have basically the same issue and it’s the weight going through the injured knee as your stepping down on the opposite if that makes sense. So what they did is right. Not sure if that makes any sense though.
Really? It went away completely ? How many months had it lasted until you fully recovered ? Really hope to receive your response as a motivation and hope.
@@Mylittledancediary yes, I had patellafemoral pain when I was 18 that lasted around 6-8 months. I went to physical therapy which helped a lot. I did work with elastic bands to strengthen my lower body. Stretches that strengthen hip flexors are really helpful. Strengthening quads, hamstrings, groin and glutes can make your knees feel better. Overall I recommend working out the muscles around your knee as much as you can. Avoid heavy impact on your knee as the pain decreases & be patient with your body!!
@@mdp_-vn4bo You wouldn’t know how touched and grateful i am to have received response from you. Thank you very much for your kind words, advice and motivations. I have a two questions, when you recommend working out the muscles around the knees, do you mean something like leg lift without bending the knees? Or something like squat that bend the knees? Also, did you take any supplements like glucosamine / collagen etc. During that 6-8 months? Thank you for reading and your time. :)

10 years later, this is still the best video about taping for patellar tracking syndrome.

Worked instantly!
Both cracking sound and pain gone or only pain is gone
how many days do we need to use the tape?
Kishorebabu Muppalla I use it stats 3-4 days even more at the most
Mary Gasper you take it off and re use the same exact tape that was on your knee for 3-4 days? Or you just keep it on for 3-4 days
Tom Brady #GOAT leave it on or reapply fresh tape as it looses adhesiveness
mine went away thankfully but if you’re still struggling with pain strengthening your glutes, hamstrings, and quads can alleviate

Anyone watching this on 2021, don't do this. It produces extra pressure between patella and femur, so it will wear cartilage fastee
any reference to probe this? Cheers!
So do you have any tips on what we should do then??
