how to fix Renault key card quick and easy

This is a quick and easy fix for a Renault key card when your card shows not detected and ask you to insert the card. This is a just temporary solution but we have been driving like this for over a month now and works every time. After regular use, the tape will flatten up or come off, so you just replace it with a new piece. That's all. short term fix, glad it worked for you.
I'm now at the point of having to spend the money as my car won't unlock unless I have Le Magic Francais touch on the key fob, not cool when you have a Megane sport that does pop and bang like the best, but just won't let me start it! I have to carry a book(to read... ahem) while I squeeze or bend in different configurations to get the thing started, but when it goes the 225 goes.

it is a short term fix and before this my other half use to carry a kitchen knife to start the car and that also works by pushing the key card with the knife and slightly bending towards the receiver. Also just recently I've been putting the key at an angle whiles pressing to the site of the receiver and works too. It might be different with other cars but it's all temporary measures as I can imagine it will cost a bit to get a new received fixed. Thanks anyway for your comment and good luck for future.

I used small piece of velcro but you can just put few layers of any tape until is enough to create a pressure point on the receiver:) I hope it works for you.

This is a keyless entry car thus you should still be able to have the key in your pocket and start the car no need to put it in the slot I have the same problem at the moment

I used it for few months and eventually it gets worse but it give you enough time to save up for a new key or get rid off the car lol it is just a quick temporary fix to get you moving
