Above good guitar tone and having fun with gear, my prayer is that you would, maybe for the first time, hear the truth about Jesus Christ, the holiness of God, your condition apart from Jesus Christ and consider what those things mean for your life. Jesus is the Son of God. He lived, died and rose from the grave. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Repent of your sins. Abandon all hope in your good works. Put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Reach out to me if you have questions and we'll go over the Scripture together.

Great job as always (long time GFHG member here). I went down the rabbit hole of equipment and still fight the urge every day to buy more gear. Have rolled back in the last year from a Matchless and full pedal board to a Quad Cortex in stereo with captures from my Matchless on one side and my Super Reverb on the other in stereo. I have the Cremas in a Jazzmaster and they are awesome. I'm a Filtertron guy for worship mostly and traded for a Duesenberg Deluxe that has the Ftron neck and humbucker bridge which is my #1 for Worship now. Keep up the great work Ps wore your hat to church and everyone loved it!!

Love your heart for the Lord. Regarding pickups and those worshiping while listening, they won’t notice. It’s subtle enough that you won’t be mad if you pick one over the other. Like others, I like them both for different reasons. I can see why Crema neck and Grinder bridge is a popular combination.

Hey bro, I appreciate your videos a lot! As believers and followers we need to be reminded why we do what we do. Of course I’ve been in those funks and forget it’s not about me but about HIM. One time a dear friend of mine called me out when I arrived late to play for a service. I said “be grateful I’m here”, to which he countered “no, you be grateful you’re here”. And he was right, it is a privilege to serve and to be of service, to bring HIS people closer to HIM through music and song. All glory be to HE who is worthy.

I'm a big fan of Lambertones Pickups. I have the Blondies in a tele, Cremas in a 335 copy, Triple Shots in a strat copy. I was less enthusiastic about the Grinder but I use a Kemper mostly, so this was an interesting take. I may have to reconsider that pickup now. I like to mod cheaper guitars, so that Grinder may be put to use again. Great video!

With the guitar side of things, I picked up a fender deluxe silverburst. I found out that it has DiMaggio 36 anniversary in the neck and a fortitude bridge. Vague but at least he's alive.
My first custom guitar five years ago didn't turn out so great bc it was handmade by a guy in his shed. That one made sense bc I paid $1300 for it. Was hoping this experience would be better. This one is expected to be $2500. But alas, another torturous experience. God have mercy on me!

We need more excellent musicians producing theologically sound lyrics along with actions that promote biblical behavior including humility before God and man, as opposed to the fake coolness, fashion, aggression, and pride we are seeing in the extremely fast evolving worship music culture. We need multi generational music to promote community and connection within the church. Worship doesn’t happen in a room with a bunch of people that look like they are forcing it with socially elevated musicians and Gods people looking like they are on the verge of a mosh pit. Worship music needs to be an invitation to the awakening of the mind through biblical lyrics and arising of the good thoughts within us, thoughts of the Glory of God and His care for His sheep, etc. Rather than thinking how we can fit these biblical values into the guitar tones box of bethel, elevation, and hillsong (not that it’s always wrong and I’m sure most have done and still do, including myself, and I’m not saying the musicians are bad but they mainly have major influence) but let’s hope for ourselves and others better ways to think and let’s creatively think about how these guitar tones can, or sometimes cannot, fit into God’s box. I pray that God raises up church musicians who have the time, energy, and influence to commit to leading the church in the correct direction with worship music.

Robert you have articulated some aspects of worship trends that sometimes I find difficult to watch. Of course, I love many of the songs produced by Bethel, Elevation, etc., I love to play them and admire their musicians' playing. Even allowing for cultural differences (I'm in the UK) some of what I see is swerving too far into worldly and fleshly territory as you describe above. Startlingly so sometimes. In a church gathering we are the Bride of Christ, not a mosh pit as you say above. Much of the reverence and even fear of the Lord can be missing if the worship band look so self-satisfied and perfectly fashioned for the cameras. As musicians we can become over absorbed in what gear we use - and I include myself in this. I like your point about needing multi-generational music in a world that strongly values youth culture. But we are not of the world and do not look to the world for inspiration.

I understand that Jesus is an essential part of your life, but what does that have to do with the Lambertones pickup? It would be a more professional approach to open a channel dedicated to religion (or any other topic) if you want to talk about that. It would be like if I had a cooking recipe channel and started talking about boobs, how I relax when I see them and how they are an essential part of my life.

God is sovereign over all. He made you. He made me. Because he saved me from my sin and gave me new life, my life is an offering to him; therefore, I live every aspect of it (to the best of my ability) to bring him glory and honor. He’s not a part of my life. He is my life. This channel exists to spread the gospel and to minister to God’s people.
God is holy, we are to keep his law without fail. But as sinners, we are unable! Therefore every person is on a path to destruction and hell if they have not believed in the only Son of God, who came to earth, lived a perfect life in obedience to God, was crucified by men and provided a perfect sacrifice, satisfying the wrath of God for all who repent and believe in him as Lord and Savior! This channel exists to glorify God and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Repent and believe, my friend. Be made new. Receive a new heart. This gift of grace is free.

@@vaipod3955 then you should follow more stuff about that false scripture, and less about guitar and scantily clad women. I can see the subs and channels you follow 😆
