I think it is bad communication and a lack of clear policy from the EFF. Land expropriation is not a policy. What you are going do with it is policy. The same goes for the borders. Open borders doesn't mean uncontrolled access, but it means freedom of trade and movement within Africa. The same policy that allows the EU to compete on the same playing field as giants like the US, China, Russia and India. The EFF should talk more to how South Africans are going to benefit from better trade and relations on the continent.

When the EFF hit the scene, we had the distinct impression of a vibrant, progressive political outfit that had invested in the hopes of the youths, the oppressed, and the future of SA. What worried me a little was the haste and restlessness of its leadership. The outcome of a political contest is primarily viewed through the lens of two parameters, namely, the numbers and the trends. Applying these to the EFF situation, it's clear the party has stagnated and may have lost its resonance with the main support base. Alas! Unless something drastic happens, it is primed for a decline into the abyss of irrelevance. All this talk by Malema is nonsensical political rhetoric. The party failed. The outcome of a political contest is primarily viewed through the lens of two parameters, namely, the numbers and the trends. Applying these to the EFF situation, it's clear the party has stagnated and may have lost its resonance with the main support base. Alas! Unless something drastic happens, it is primed for a decline into the abyss of irrelevance.
