I failed and that's okay. I just wanted you guys to know. If I had a distinction or a pass I would do the same.

@Mide Yussuff I came back to say thank you very much for this video. It was an eye opener to me. I watched this video last two weeks and I was so disturbed cuz the length of stay on my BRP was shortened by 2months and I have a course to resit in August. Initially I overlooked the error but after listening to your story I decided to take action by requesting for a new BRP. I didn't even talk to my school about it but went straight to the BRP website and filled the complain form. Behold I was issued a new BRP in less than 2weeks of me filling the form

Heya, what did you say when you ask for a new BRP? I’m thinking about filling a complaints form as my visa duration is shortened by 2 months as well and I need to do reassessment. Please could you let me know?
Pele dear. Your story reminded me of when I failed and was kicked out of Medical School in AMerica....That time was the darkest moment of my life. My girlfriend broke up with mea week later, so you can imagine the pain i went through. Being expelled from medical school and girlfriend of 3 years breaking up with me...LOL. I can look back now and laugh but back then I was in a deep depression. Glory be to God, I am a doctor today!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I went to do my Masters in the UK and failed as well. I was just in a really bad place while I was studying (a lot had happened) and my mental health took hits after hits which made it impossible for me to focus on my studies. I was drinking, self-harming, and just treating myself like s*it. Failing my studies made me feel like I had failed in life but now I realize that that's not the case. Your studies don't define who you are. I started getting help for my mental health three years ago and in 2020, I did another masters back home and I graduated with a 3.87 GPA (which I think is a Distinction equivalent in the UK).

@@mideyussuff So sorry to hear this. But i guess if you can afford you can re do those courses again during summer break. In Canada they have this provision, i know its hard and a financial burden but you can do it. I failed a course in my degree thats what i did. I paid my course credits to re do it again and also, it was summer break so i had great opportunity to work aswell. So Think about it or may be talk to your international student centre at your educational institute. Good Luck.

Hello. I am happy you were able to sort out your issues before the deadline. I was an international student several years ago and I understand where you're coming from. Many international students I know experienced exactly what you went through. That is why I always encourage international students in the UK to study hard and to make sure they pass their modules with a merit or distinction. There is no way to progress to the next level without a merit in the UK. Once you have your merit and if the rule has not changed, you can enrol for another level seven programme or two e.g. MSc and MBA, consecutively, at any university of your choice. You also need a merit to proceed to Level Eight (doctorate). Your university will issue the Doctorate Extension Scheme, one of the pathways to ILR for international students. I wish you all the best.

I have been practicing for thirty years now.
My three adult children practice in the same hospital with me. Thank you God.
