  • This affordable drugstore review was originally supposed to have two stylers in the line up. Unfortunately, however, I could only get my hands on one of the products. So this has turned into an unintentional single styler review. Stick around and see if this foam proves to be worthy of one and done styler status.

😆 This is another thing I have in my stash, that is waiting to be tried. I was impressed too, not too many products are really good as a single styler.

Through trial and error I’ve found I can do single stylers if my hair isn’t overly wet. I get the best results by immediately putting my hair in a higher absorbing hair towel when I get out of the shower. My preference is to layer my curl cream and then gel. My current best combo is hairitage curl cream with ouidad higher hold gel. My Walmart carries this foam and seeing your results I’m definitely going to give it a try. It’s under $4 at my local store.

It's interesting how some people can style on damp hair and others (like myself) can't. I have not been able to style on damp hair without getting stringy curls.🤷‍♀️
That cream gel combo you mentioned sounds really good! 😀

Thank you! I was hesitant to try it this way, and then it turned out to completely impress me. If you try it, I hope you love your results as well! 😀

I never expected to catch a review of this one! 😻It’s a simple OG. The single styler dream! I’m 5 months in transitioning from just letting my hair dry straight. I haven’t tried in awhile, but can never get enough hold with one product. Was really curious about this product after doing a bit of a deep dive 1 day on pin curls. My hair does really well w wet sets & knowing that had me wondering about this one. I decided the coconut & shea were probably too moisturizing for me. Now I see I should give it a try as my hair is similar to yours. Verb foaming gel has been helpful for me for that set feeling. In fact, my hair never goes quite as well without something that gives me that.

Your curly hair journey sounds similar to my mom's. She has a little looser of a curl pattern than me, often drues her hair straight. But when she does try and wear it curly, she likes to use the Verb Curl Foaming Gel.

@@lifeoffinecurls Yes! Mine is looser than yours but it’s extremely long so it is stretched. I’m getting my first curly cut soon and moving away from this terrible hard water!

I saw a review a while ago from Lina’s Lovely Locks for this product and have been hooked ever since. I can use it as a one and done style. I would love to see more products like this❤ great review!

When you say you would like to see more products like this, do you mean single styler or affordable or both? I have a recent video of some of my favorite single styler products, I'll link here ua-cam.com/video/_zdDerAus1w/v-deo.htmlsi=kTkr33esGkwF1oBT
I also have a playlist called my Affordable Drugstore Series, which this video was part of. If you have anything specific I'd love your feedback for consideration. Thanks for watching! 😄

Curl friends, I'd love your help. Do you have any recommendations for affordable drugstore lines ($10 and under) that you would like me to try in 2024? I'd love to hear your suggestions! 😃

Oh... that's is a tough one. There's so much out there and I don't know what you haven't tried yet. I know Suave have a curl line (shampoo, conditioner & styling cream). I don't think it has any mousse or gel, but Suave does have mousse & gels in other lines. I like their Captivating Curls Mousse Cream (it is creamy texture), I'm thinking with your fine hair, you probably don't need a styling cream.

That can be hard! Cantu is under $10 and the Curl Activator cream & Next Day Revitalizer were good products in the beginning of my curl journey. I’m interested in the mega hold stay gel.

@@simplycurlyde Thanks for the suggestion! I actually do mind using creams on my hair, but it does depend cream sometimes. I'll have to look into those products more and check out the ingredients.

@maureenporter2967 Thank you for the suggestion. I actually did a review on two Cantu stylers, probably almost two years ago at this point. I used the Curl Activator, which I liked, and the Define & Shine Custard. I might consider choosing some different stylers if I do revisit Cantu, so thank you for suggesting the hard hold gel. That definitely sounds like something right up my alley. 😉

Amazing results💙I like Lottabody but the Milk & Honey line, the Milk & Honey foam also works as a single styler, moreover it contains protein and smells like honey.

    • @lifeoffinecurls
      @lifeoffinecurls  4 місяці тому

I didn't realize the Milk & Honey foam contained protein. Products that have a lot of honey in them often times weigh my curls down (from my experience)
But I didn't check the ingredients on that line at all. Now you've gotten me curious, but I need more products like I need a whole in the head lol. 😄
