As a rescue main, I absolutely HATE doing basement rescues when it’s Bon Bon even as merc. I mean most of my cases the Bon Bon justs SPAMS the bombs :( But overall it’s fun doing basement rescues. I rlly find joy in rescuing basement or not basement.

@Daxtur7 V did you play solo rank? It's hard to coordinate with randoms, sometimes random Saw basement but they are lazy to tell, i recommend you to use priestess if your teammates often die near basement

In my older days of starting this game I remember I brought 69 for all my matches... I did this until mammoth when I actually found out what borrowed time means, that too after I threw a match for decoding the wrong cipher

Bro im almost tier 7 and sometimes my teamates still expect a bodyblock when i rescue them with tide from basement. They get mad at me when i stay back there and dont go up the stair with them. Seriously when you get rescued under basement, just run straight out like there is no tomorrow
@@dickyuntoro when you rescue someone from basement 9 out of 10 times that the person on chair gonna die before the tide ends. Don’t waste your hp on that 1 out of 10 posibility. Not to mention all the risk you went through just to bodyblock for them and not get double hit.

Teach you guys how we china server players do it in a coordinated team. Rescuer stays behind in the basement as the one in the chair just gets hit and get away as far as possible from the basement. Hunter won’t come down to hit you as they might potentially lose the tunneled survivor. Dont need to burn more elbow pads than you already have. Also if no tide, fuck off and decode
I learnt the second tip the hard way after several months of playing I thought I could jump down and avoid Joseph’s hit, it was in the hospital and he was by the doorway the cipher sometimes is at It did not work, I should’ve just went around the hospital and try to elbow dash down, that could’ve worked unless he got a lucky hit at drop-down but it would at least better than what happened Thanks for the guide! Even after a while playing I realised there’s a lot I don’t think about still, so this video really helped
Kinda another tip, I play as dancer with no tide but if I know where the basement is and I'm near the downed person I get in the basement with the hunter (without getting hit and only if full health) and put down two slow music box so that it works like a normal rescue and I dont give free hits on the stairs, if I manage to do a good rescue with no hit I bodyblock, but if I do get hit I mostly hope the music boxes do their work
I've rescued 2 people from the basement at the same time before as postman, was difficult because I had to do a lot of baiting. Also it was axe boy so small hit box was used to my advantage.
I have a question So I main Embalmer, and seeing that he’s not preferably one who should be rescuing at any time especially basements, I have a strategy when I don’t have enough time to put in the person identity, I use the coffin for myself and go try to save them, I twirl/walk around for the Hunter to waste their attack and start getting the person unchaired, but even if I do get terror shocked I can rebirth myself and try again, but there is the risk of being chaired since I rebirth at half health, I just wanted to know if this is a good strat that I should work on or a bad strat to try to avoid?
uh this comment is a bit old but i will try and answer it, Embalmer sometimes takes tide turner urself and it will activate after u rebirth, and hunter will also see ur coffin placement so u might as well give up after rebirthing, also, its not a good idea to “try” a basement rescue, pretty much any hunter, even photographer and Mary will get a hit on u AND ur teammate just because basement is so cruel for survs. coffin doesnt give u any benefit trying to rescue, its likely u just give the hunter ur location after u respawn and presence when he knocks u down... this move only works when ciphers are primed and u can just rescue. hunter will want anyone on the chair so ur the only surv that has a second chance, not that it matters much but thats how embalmer works. Hopefully that answers ur questions!

same same, even rescuers fail to reacue sometimes so unless there is already like two people who has tide turner i bring tide even if there's a rescuer in the team (btw it works rescuers get downed trying to rescue and then its my turn)
@@pingyjunk6494 I mean for me everyone should be able to use tide :v I sometimes use 36 no knee jerk for my embalmer or postman but for postman I actually use knee jerk, it's just way better than broken windows. You still can kite using tide while you can't rescue while using broken so I don't see the disadvantage :D
People love when I play priestess with tide and pull basement rescues and manage to get them out allowing them to continue kiting or escaping the hunter

If I've used flare gun, I'll risk a wand-save by crouching near the top and using the wand and immediately jumping down- then trying to bodyblock the rest of the way up/heal in the basement.

Yesterday in my rank match i meet an pro player who used lawyer, our enchantress was in the basement. I was playing dancer, and the other one was using doc. Hunter was camping at the top of the stairs, he was using blink. This dude went as lawyer to rescue, dont received any hit out of these, saved enchantress, from chair, dodged another atack, and bodyblocked at stairs, i couldnt belive what happened
It doesnt really work very well anymore. When I play hunter its so easy to look away. The circle surrounding the painting makes it so obvious for the hunter to know where to look away and when you placed a painting without ever having to look in you direction, theyll just stare at the chair. And PLEASE dont try rescuing someone at half health
So I’ve seen this tactic in the chinese server with perfumer and tide turner, where she got hit, placed perfume then rescued, then got hit then used the perfume then waited for cooldown then placed perfume then got hit then as tide turner ended she placed the third perfume and used it just as tide ended. I dunno, it’s really complicated and easy to forget the timing and order and this order is probably incorrect but if done correctly it can be quite effective.
I have tide with doctor and I usually run down get the rescue and body block, then when I get hit usually the hunter will run after the other person so I heal then continue to body block for a bit🤷

Characters made by the devs like bon bon who rely on camping as their strongest ability/strategy have characters like mercenary our gravekeeper who can tank a hit for the rescue. In the end camping is an implemented strat for the game by the developers. If a Hunter gets to use the basement you better believe they're going to camp it. Survivors and hunters alike have to measure their choices and see if the rescue/camp is really beneficial. In the end camp heavy hunters get ties if survivors don't rescue. In either case all hunters patrol camp which means going a bit out to pressure a machine. They all have to guard the chair or pressure an early rescue.
@@andym-c771 you forget that most ppl when entering the game just CAN'T win against camp hunters. hunters already have lots of advantages, and then u still camp and that's why new players don't want to continue the game. i have only a week playing, and i really can't win bc i only play with ppl who don't know how and then it's really easy for anyone to win as hunter, take one, camp and boom, you won already 🥱
Second chair basement: just don’t rescue unless cypher is being primed, it’s not worth it because the person on chair will get downed again, for me rescuing from basement is just telling them to die away from basement for next chair
le bruh wildling can save, go down the basement like u would using coordinator. Take a hit, rescue then jump on pig. When survivor gets knocked down outside the basement then just make hunter drop from balloon!
How to save someone in the basement: Step 1: you dont. If your kiter didnt even last long and was in the basement, forgot that player and move on to life.
I wouldnt really recommend that since itll be hard to get out of basement with no speed items, so you might get hit again coming out. Youre free to use that though if youre missing a 2nd rescuer since otherwise anywhere outside basement its good

0:59 it isn't a bug this man really said bug lol their is just no attack animation because it gets replaced with the ground stun animation. You will see that the hit animation will play but when the hunter hits the ground it stops removing the hit animation plays the ground stun animation then the hunter can attack again
Whenever I play merc with randoms some ppl get so pissed off that I didn't body blocked for them with tide and at post match they start renting like: "TRASHY MERC" "PLAY BETTER" etc etc. Also, it's not my fault that you didn't last more than 5 secs kiting at early game and got chaired in the worst spot on the map😐

Seriously though. A fed painter with tide can actually do a good basement rescue and its saved many matches of mine. Ive clutched wins and ties this way (but only if ik the hunter doesn't have excitement) Granted I'm only in griffin and it probably changes a lot in higher tiers, but what ill do is use the painting to get myself into the basement without taking a hit. I can rescue and bodyblock, so sure im injured but no ones going down. And we both run the hell out lmao.
Thats right seer without tide. He might be the WORST survivor to have tide with because its not possible getting a good owl. Hunter will see youre sending your owl and youll take the hit instead of the owl anyway

there weren't any rescues on the team either so I was kind of forced to do it.

for mechanic the doll spawns right behind her so you can use it to save yourself from being hit

Enchantress is already a meh character. Its difficult to combo her with tide when only the triple stun really makes a difference at the rescue
In short don't get chaired in basement

The recovery cancel when falling isn't a bug tho.. They're adjusting it so it can be more fair but it's not being removed. Devs wanna keep it in game~

@@SikeyYT yeah I mean since it's been there since the beginning falling was an option then it's fair to keep it for hunters but also needs to be adjusted to give more survivors a chance hence - making it more fair

@@leywin6624 people who camp or certain characters that are created by the devs around the idea. Characters made by the devs like bon bon who rely on camping as their strongest ability/strategy have characters like mercenary our gravekeeper who can tank a hit for the rescue.
In the end camping is an implemented strat for the game by the developers. If a Hunter gets to use the basement you better believe they're going to camp it. Survivors and hunters alike have to measure their choices and see if the rescue/camp is really beneficial.
In the end camp heavy hunters get ties if survivors don't rescue.
In either case all hunters patrol camp which means going a bit out to pressure a machine.
They all have to guard the chair or pressure an early rescue.
@@andym-c771 you forget that most ppl when entering the game just CAN'T win against camp hunters.
hunters already have lots of advantages, and then u still camp and that's why new players don't want to continue the game.
i have only a week playing, and i really can't win bc i only play with ppl who don't know how and then it's really easy for anyone to win as hunter, take one, camp and boom, you won already 🥱
even if i dont have tide as a mike main I kinda need to rescue in order to get a bomb so its difficult

Second chair basement: just don’t rescue unless cypher is being primed, it’s not worth it because the person on chair will get downed again, for me rescuing from basement is just telling them to die away from basement for next chair
Thats a good tip. Usually the chaired person will get far enough from basement using tide to buy time but in the case that this happens, this is true.
I play Norton and Fiona and carry tide turner because I rescue a lot😍😍

le bruh wildling can save, go down the basement like u would using coordinator. Take a hit, rescue then jump on pig. When survivor gets knocked down outside the basement then just make hunter drop from balloon!
How to save someone in the basement:
Step 1: you dont.
If your kiter didnt even last long and was in the basement, forgot that player and move on to life.
Doctor should use tie, she's basically an immortal character if played right
I wouldnt really recommend that since itll be hard to get out of basement with no speed items, so you might get hit again coming out. Youre free to use that though if youre missing a 2nd rescuer since otherwise anywhere outside basement its good

0:59 it isn't a bug this man really said bug lol their is just no attack animation because it gets replaced with the ground stun animation. You will see that the hit animation will play but when the hunter hits the ground it stops removing the hit animation plays the ground stun animation then the hunter can attack again

Whenever I play merc with randoms some ppl get so pissed off that I didn't body blocked for them with tide and at post match they start renting like: "TRASHY MERC" "PLAY BETTER" etc etc.
Also, it's not my fault that you didn't last more than 5 secs kiting at early game and got chaired in the worst spot on the map😐

Seriously though. A fed painter with tide can actually do a good basement rescue and its saved many matches of mine. Ive clutched wins and ties this way (but only if ik the hunter doesn't have excitement)
Granted I'm only in griffin and it probably changes a lot in higher tiers, but what ill do is use the painting to get myself into the basement without taking a hit. I can rescue and bodyblock, so sure im injured but no ones going down. And we both run the hell out lmao.

Thats right seer without tide. He might be the WORST survivor to have tide with because its not possible getting a good owl. Hunter will see youre sending your owl and youll take the hit instead of the owl anyway
