- This week I am back in the workshop at the steyr cvt same as case cvx .working on the carrero front axle .it is worn and a lot of the moving joints and parts need replacing.
One of the pins proves very difficult to remove and we have to heat it with the gas numerous times to get the pin to move.after a hell of a lot of beating with a sledge hammer it starts to move . - Авто та транспорт
I would paint the front axle and front tombstone to smarten up the front end but at the same time it wouldn’t be too difficult to touch up the visible part of the engine block where the grey has faded. That would make it look like a full respray if you painted around backend as well

Spray the whole lot have her like a new pin lad . Your dream tractor make her like a new 1 . Especially if ya going to zinc everything

Great attention to details , tractor fan here also , your not alone when it comes to projects ! Where do you get stud plating done ? What’s the costs .

I am also rebuilding this axle, but i don't know, if this pin which holds the upper arm seats in the bushing or not. I already took out the other bushing. Can you film the whole process of rebuilding.
I would keep the tractor as original as possible and only touch up areas that need touching. I wouldn't install a centralised greasing system as they can block, at least with the nipple you would know if it was blocked.
Since you are at it i would paint the engine and the front axle instead of regretting it later :)

Where can you get bolts replated i have bolts i need done myself

Once it all happened outside of the environment 😂
Spay all the tractor make like new and get 24 plates
Them axles are a complete disaster especially when on a loader tractor wearing them out quicker with the weight
