I always loved it when he sets the camera down still recording, and you here the good ole Jim and his dad add commentary to Zach as he is working. Those guys are priceless.
Good to see Jim back !! Haven't seen him in far too long !! "O" rings are supposed to be round - NOT all tore up with parts missing. Hey Zach, your son continues to amaze me with his capabilities !! He's certainly got to be very helpful on the farm !! Good young man, Onyx !!
Hi, i am from India and i am also a farmer here. I have been watching your videos for the last few months and i absolutely love the content. Most of the agri equipment you use is new to us. We Indian farmers don't use such a big tractor, or even equipment. It's like a new technology for Indian farmers. So thank you for sharing the vlog with all the information. I wish you success for your Agriculture and also for the UA-cam channel.
I agree. I was waiting for him to put on the face shield at the very least, because injection is a very serious injury. Two weeks ago, a friend of mine had an injection accident with his pressure washer, putting several ounces of water into the back of his hand, and fortunately didn't damage any tendons or nerves.
My dad did last year two weeks before vacation so he tried as hard as possible to make it and he just sat on the balcony watching us in the water the whole time😂
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Good fix on that planter oil leak. Those o rings can be very hard to replace. You are lucky you could see the leak much less be able to get to it and put a new o ring in. Wash it off with the power washer now. You did good on that one. Terrible place to get into. Busy time with everything going on. Keep at it. Take care and be safe everyone. Thanks for everything Zach and dad and Jim and onyx and Becky. Wow. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Zach, I have learned a lot about farming watching your channel since I did it 40yrs. ago with equipment that was no where near efficient as what you are using today. International/ Farmall & Oliver tractors are what we used in Pennsylvania thank you!
Simple Green is my favorite solution for cleaning up an oily mess. Works well with cold water. Used to use it on my motorcycle engine. Cleans like a champ - Simple Green and a garden hose.
Zach. Try Dawn Soap with your Pressure washer or Dawn Soap Co. came out with a Spray Bottle Soap . That Soap the Best for Oil clean ups. Good for Baby Ducks good for Oily Deere.
You could use an olight swivel with its magnetic swivel and really bright light. I dropped mine in oil and I just wiped it off and kept going. Love your channel…
Good Job! There is a certain feeling when you fix a problem like that which you need to experience to Know the feeling. When it doesn't work out so well there is also another feeling...
Zach im glad you had a better day than me! Tweeked out Tuesday had all our air conditioning out most of the morning. I would have traded jobs with you today. Be safe and stay oily my friend.
This episode reminded me a lot of working with my popop lol, he just wants to help but sometimes a lot of questions gets to you but the level of respect shown is amazing
In all perspectives of this upload ,it really reminds me alot about my mom😊 I really appreciate them for the work they have done so far ,,keep up the good work millennial.
Note done with the repair of the video, but make sure you use the correct o-ring! If it is a plug, it is traditionally a Boss O ring. Enjoy the content, keep up the good work!
🎥👨🔧🗣 It's always a delight when the camera captures those candid moments of Jim and his dad providing commentary while Zach is hard at work. Their presence adds an extra layer of entertainment and authenticity to the video. Their banter and insights are truly priceless. I can't wait to see what unexpected moments and humorous exchanges await in the future! Keep up the fantastic work! 💪😄🎬
Looked more like a harry C-ring than an O-ring. Glad it was simple enough to fix. Planter seems to be all squared away this year, no more behind the camera cussing it out!!! lol
John deere uses a lot of aluminum hydraulic valve blocks - but steel plugs ...the aluminum and steel expand at different rates - so it's pretty common for the plugs to loosen which blows the o rings out ...
😂😂😂 I would recommend a Ranger if you’re looking to get any work done…. That’s awesome!! Another well done video, Zach! Hope to hang out with you again soon.
Zach, we had to tighten every plug on our planter during year 2. We marked the plugs and 2 leaked again this year, number 3. One came out without a wrench. Amazing what constant hydraulic pressure can do.
Yep, know all about those o rings , last year had many of them. Come to conclusion two different materials don't mix. Ended up put using lock tight to keep from loosing up of cap bolt.
Good to see planting is going better again. Hydraulic oil gets everywhere glad you found it worse part of being around older hoses is you fix one bump another one next that hose leaks and on it goes
Zack, just a note. Standard o-rings are durometer 70A, for anything over 1000psi you need to get harder ones, durometer 90A, ever harder depending on your system pressure. Putting in a standard 70A o-ring will work for a short time but it will fail. I hope you have the correct kits on hand.
Be on the lookout for leaks on that new sprayer. Same thing as that planter leak. Small plug on hydraulic block, blows oring and gets loose and starts leaking. R4030 happened 6 separate times. One block under the belly and one block on the boom
Dump the seed.. throw a net or chicken wire that will catch the rotten seed in the hopper. Refill the seed into the hopper. Have a good plan to season.
I always loved it when he sets the camera down still recording, and you here the good ole Jim and his dad add commentary to Zach as he is working. Those guys are priceless.
Old guys have paid their dues lol
I enjoy ths very much and i am watching from South Africa
Always nice to see Jim. Hey Jim!
If there’s one thing I know about an o-ring, it’s that you can tell it’s blown out by the way that it is!
I love seeing onyx being involved in the farm hopefully we see him spraying, and combining more this year.
Jim almost always ends an opening statement with a chuckle. You gotta love his character 👍
Glad to see Jim back, hope this year goes well!
@6:11 Hmm wonder if that was The Big Swede in the Terragator.
"You can tell by the way it is...". Still the best line ever.
Jim!!
Good to see Jim back , hope he is keeping better now.
Good to see your dad and Jim becoming a lot more comfortable with the camera!! Always enjoy there humor!!
Cherish these days with those two Zach.
For a second I thought that floater was the big Swede 😂
The need….,, for seed hilarious Zach🤣🤣
That description of what an O ring should look like was priceless! Good to see Jim back!
Nm m g B h h unkkk m I😊

Another great video!!! Goodnight Catdog.
Whew. Them two were close to being bit. Bless them.
@ 6:12, Dang The Big Swede was a little far from home wasn’t he?😂😂
thought the same thing lol
Always have a good day when MF uploads. God bless our farmers 🙏
Always gotta have a few adventures during planting season. A day without any problems makes you wonder what tomorrow will bring!!!
I love when you Talk to Cat Dog😂
Jim, the legend.
Thank you very much
The o-ring shape comments were priceless. I saw it and thought "that's a q-ring, not an o-ring".
Great example of farmers fixing things 👍
Catdog is sure hanging in there - must have a few extra lives (Lol)
100 Farmers were asked what they do in their spare time. 95 didn’t understand the question, the other 5 didn’t know what day it was!
Good one, Zack. Nice to see Jim and all. Wishing and praying for a great year for farmers.
Good for you man, a true farmer doesn't quite untill the job is done. And you sir a a real farmer.
I grew up on a farm and then worked for a few farmers working with crops and then a couple of custom hay farmers.
As someone that has seen someone get cut by spraying hydraulic fluid I winced when he put his hand on the hoses when you were checking for the leak.
Yeah, wtf!

Also it broke his finger and still isn’t healed back
@@arthouston7361 injecting water is painful and may damage/cut internals. Injecting hydraulic fluid leads to necrotic tissue and amputation
🤚🤚🖐️🔧⚰️always have your equipment race ready! Race on.
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.

The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Hi Zach. Your father and Jim are top-notch A no.1 gents.
We run a Case IH 1200 planter. Had the exact same issue this year. O ring went out on that block and sprayed all over.
Zach, I have learned a lot about farming watching your channel since I did it 40yrs. ago with equipment that was no where near efficient as what you are using today. International/ Farmall & Oliver tractors are what we used in Pennsylvania thank you!
we used a ford, case, farmall and fiat alles
Hey Zach, You remind me of when I'd be working with my Dad. Biting your tounge is well worth it. My Dad has passed now and I miss him.
Zach, your commentary is always THE best (that's what SHE said!) !!!
Always a good day when millennial farmer uploads!
Yep, Nice to see Jim, missed him.
When I delivered groceries for Aldis in the midwest ! Good was hard to find. .Also hard work is good exercise..
Crazy how i stumbled across a harvest video from like 2019 and never missed a video since. Love the content.
Jim saying “ain’t that a son of a bitch” had me rolling @ 10:44 😂😂😂😂
Great channel to follow 😂.
It’s a great feeling when you can fix a problem with out great expense
You have to appreciate the actor playing Zach stayed in character and called himself a real farmer.
hhahahahaha

Fellow Minnesotan here who loves the channel. Was that a @MortskeRepair reference at 12:41? "I don't know if you can tell by the way it is or not?"
Great watching again zach must be better when goes to plan we'll all most
You could use an olight swivel with its magnetic swivel and really bright light. I dropped mine in oil and I just wiped it off and kept going. Love your channel…
I love how your dad always says "oh" when something breaks
Good Job! There is a certain feeling when you fix a problem like that which you need to experience to Know the feeling. When it doesn't work out so well there is also another feeling...
When you have equipment there is always things that happen to them and you found it and fixed it fairly quickly. Keep up the good work!!!
It’s amazing what one bad O-ring will do. I have a bobcat 763, and on one of the control valves it blew out talk about a mess.
This is now the Top Farm channel with the "I feel the need for seed" quote. Yee haw! You're corn fed!
Nice to see jim again!
Really in joy your videos thank you
great video Zach. thank you
Had the same thing happen this spring with a plug on a valve body.
“The need… the need for seed!” Hahaha
Zach im glad you had a better day than me! Tweeked out Tuesday had all our air conditioning out most of the morning. I would have traded jobs with you today. Be safe and stay oily my friend.
Equipment got to love it.
Enjoy your videos, feel sorry for your problems!
Hopefully, the weather and your equipment will allow you to get your crops planted. 👍🏻to a great season on the Farm….
Deere has had problems with valve block o-rings on much of their equipment for a long time. We were always replacing them on the WAM and big tractors.
I'd love to know you better that's only if you don't mind leaving me a reply
Note done with the repair of the video, but make sure you use the correct o-ring! If it is a plug, it is traditionally a Boss O ring. Enjoy the content, keep up the good work!
Heck, I'll move out there and help out. I've watched so many videos in sure I could do everything you need

Thanks for sharing your hard work. Your more willing to share your trial an error than myself and many others. Thanks for your videos.
Hard to find help??? Like Jim sinking the tractor 3 years ago. Love ya Jim always fun to watch you do your thing.
An enjoyable video. Thank You
I’m Ready
@5:30 yay, congratulations Zach, u did it
O O It's Magic, ya know.
Nice fix.
Awesome video Zach. It's kool that the O'ring was all that planter needed to fix it. Only if all repairs were that easy. 🚜🚜🚜
Yep some of those o-ring can be a pain in the butt. Good to see Jim haven’t seen him in a while.
Your ancestors called, they want there flashlight back. They said go find an LED one.
We really enjoy the videos. I am fascinated by the technology on your equipment!
Zach, we had to tighten every plug on our planter during year 2. We marked the plugs and 2 leaked again this year, number 3. One came out without a wrench. Amazing what constant hydraulic pressure can do.

Been watching this farm and Mike Mitchell’s farm since they started filming 🇺🇸
thank you

I love Jim’s running commentary on the O Ring project
Glad you got some good soybeans to plant
Dirty seed, done dirt cheap! 😂
Not just a Fighter a Mighty TOMCAT!
Dump the seed.. throw a net or chicken wire that will catch the rotten seed in the hopper. Refill the seed into the hopper. Have a good plan to season.
