As a Dutch person myself I don’t see this much often, as this mostly is known by the people that are 40 years or above. The younger generation doesn’t order this in a traditional Brown cafe. Or don’t even know about this Dutch traditional combination regarding alcoholic beverages.
Very interesting! During most of my visits to the Netherlands I was able to find and enjoy genever rather easily at resteraunts and bars and during one particular visit I was treated to the headbutt multiple times throughout the night, maybe because I was a tourist?
