I AM SO OPEN TO ADVICE!!!! y’all please tell me how to improve form so i can do everything to the best of my capabilities. i def know i was doing the RDL’s a lil funky lolll.
ily thank you🩷
Kayli ilysm, it would mean the world if u reply to me!!!
I'm no expert at all, but I sometimes go to the gym with my brother, but more often do workouts at home because i have dumbells. But I noticed that when you did the rdl's you were kinda squating at the same time. I often watch videos explaining that exercise and people usually say that when you are going down with the dumbells you should push your glutes back and not do a squat, cause when you are pushing the glutes back the legs automaticly bend, so that you extend the muscle that goes from the leg to the glutes. I cant explain it really well, but you should watch some videos of gym influencers doing the exercises you dont know really well, thats what I do. I watch a lot of them but Im gonna suggest the ones that I remember de name: Krissy Cela, Analis Cruz, Caroline Girvan (I do her home workouts), Diana Conforti.
Hi omg okay so for the RDL’S first bit of advice if you really want them gains, elevate your ankles a little, you can use like a block or a thin weight, just a few inches off the ground and it really helps. Also: keep your knees/legs together, maybe five-seven inches apart, and imagine you’re leaning back to touch your butt against a wall while keeping your weights as close to your legs as possible. Trust me, they burn but they work. 🩷
To further on the weights to legs thing, imagine leaning forward to pick something up
Sooo no 1 thing is u wanna have a good posture and lower the weights against ur shins
BEST ADVICE FOR ANYONE GOING TO THE GYM FOR THE FIRST TIME: no one cares. Literally not a soul cares, everyone’s too focused on themselves. Go get them gains and lemme again say NO ONE. cares :D. (also ty kayli for the vlogs ur literally my fav UA-camr ever 🩷🩷🩷🩷)
now that i’ve gone a few times, i really did notice not ONE person cared AND i was filming on top of everything. everyone there was just doing their own thing and is bettering themselves. first time is still terrifying cause we’re all in our own heads but if you can get past that hump you’re gonna be good!
The first time I went to the gym I couldn’t even sleep the night before lmao I was so nervous I kept having nightmares about it and waking up all night 😭
As soon as I got there I could tell no one would give a f and I’m glad I never stopped going ❤
YES! Also literally everyone there has had a first time going as well, so anything you are going through now, they all have gone through at some point too!
ISNT IT EASIER SAID THAN DONE??
@@Marina-ko1jvTRUE BIT STILLL😫😕😫😫😫
Mad respect for filming your first gym experience! I have been working out for a decade and I still get nervous in new gyms! Excited for your journey. Defs ease in. Biggest mistake I made was doing too much too fast
As a fellow girlie with anxiety and panic disorder I appreciate you taking a step for the both of us but also showing the realistic experiences or doing things out of your comfort zone. I think you did so well. I love watching your videos. ❤
As an avid gym girly, I'm so happy for you and hope you start to like it!! Also, you're so lucky to be a beginner in the gym because beginners see the most progress the fastest compared to people who have been going for awhile.
It's so powerful to show yourself starting something brand NEW. In the vulnerable and awkward stage. Sharing your fears but showing up anyway....Imagine how many girls found the courage to step foot in the gym after watching this...KEEP ON KILLIL' IT. You are a breath of fresh air 💓💓💓
Babe for your RDL’s it looked like you were squatting more than doing a hinge movement. Don’t know if it was just the camera angle! Think about like trying to touch your toes and pushing your hips back!
You did amazing for your first workout! Conquering the fear of going to the gym is the hardest thing! I still struggle with being perceived at the gym. It’s what usually keeps me from going
thank you!! when i watched the RDL’s back in editing i was likeeeee that doesn’t look like the videos i watched lmaoooo so i def gotta fix my form on those🩷🫶🏻
Yes I was gonna say the same thing. It’s more of a lean forward with a bend in the knee than a squat
That’s one of the hardest workouts that took me a long time to learn at the gym best tip I heard was imagine you are closing a car door with your butt and doing them it one leg at a time really helps with that mind to muscle connection I’ve been going to the gym for almost two years and I still struggle sometimes YOU GOT THIS 🩷
@@kayliboyle i like the tip that you have to pretend to close a door with your butt while shaving your legs! sounds kind of weird but try it out and see if it helps :)
@@kayliboyle Best practice by pushing your bottom onto a wall and then use your torso the to move the rest of the way down to your shins. Just gives you an idea on how the position is supposed to feel! 😃 Helped me loads when I first started RDLs
I always recommend trying a new workout with just your body weight, no dumbbells or anything. that way you can really focus on your form! I love that you have your bf to help you, my bf helped me out soooo much when I first started!!
thank you for the recommendation!! i am very lucky to have him 😭 it would have been a LOT harder just on my own
I heard this advice the other day and this girl said to just think of it as a playground! Like when we were kids playing on the playground but it’s for adults! And we’re all there to have fun and play
omg waitttt i LOVE that
I think you would benefit with NON-stim preworkout, bucked up makes a great one lol! I also have anxiety and that's the only preworkout that makes me feel calm but gives me energy, no pannick attacks or anxiety at all. Please post more of these queen! 🙏❤️✨
This ^^ switching to non stim helped me avoid panic and anxiety afterward but still offers a boost and pump.
kayliiii, i struggle with the exact same anxiety stuff as u, and when i tell u it's SO comforting to see someone like me on the internet, i mean it. you are literally SO beautiful inside and out, and have helped me incredibly. i love you and i believe in you 🫶🥹❤
So proud of you! I was so self-conscious my first time at the gym but now it's been years and it feels natural! And the struggling to move at the end was very relatable haha! The first time I did calf-raises I went super heavy and wasn't used to them, and I literally had to crawl afterwards because I couldn't straighten my legs lmao. Lesson learned!
Kayli your journey is so inspiring!!!
KAYLI I AM SO SO HAPPY FOR YOU!! It's amazing to see you step out of your comfort zone and improve yourself and its truly inspiring 💗💗💗💗
i really needed this series. my depression has made my motivation to do anything other than sleep so poor. thank you! and im really proud of you for conquering your fears and going to the gym.
You did so good!! 😊 you will be amazed at how quickly you progress with consistency. I’ve been a gym girly for over 10 years and it makes me so happy to see you pushing yourself to start. The beginning is the hardest part - you’ve got this!!! ❤
You two are absolutely adorable! ❤ And you should be so proud of yourself for getting out of your comfort zone. The gym is very scary for many ppl and I know you're insipiring many!
I just started watching you I felt compelled to try and put your mind at ease I’m 53 and I started going to the gym 5 years ago so I was older than everyone I was so afraid but I soon figured out nobody is watching you no one really cares their focused on themselves you’ll get to this point to where your totally focused on you and you won’t care about anybody else and trust me you’ll feel better than you ever felt before it’s all with it
Take your time! Listen to your body, it does not lie to you! Be patient, your body is different than everyone else, especially if you have a certain goal. You’re doing a wonderful job at easing yourself into it cause it’s very easy to overwhelm yourself. Wishing you the best of luck and looking forward to watching you on this journey ❤
I LOVE this! I’ve recently been getting back into working out and going to the gym is still pretty new to me. It can be super intimidating but I’m just trying to tell myself that everyone is here for the same reason, and everyone is just there for themselves! I’m still getting used to machines but each visit slowly builds confidence 💞
Love that you’re stepping out of your comfort zone! I’m a long time gym girlie and it’s become such a special place where I can go during rough days and unwind
Omg im so happy you started this series, as someone who wants to become healthy but dont know where to start and what to do, this definitely helps me out. I hope you are able to achieve your goals and more 🌷
You're actually iconic for filming your first time at the gym! 💎 I went for the first time at 23 years old and I just felt so embarrassed wandering around looking for the equipment I wanted, figuring out how to adjust machines, and figuring out the right weights for a new exercise. For real though it's all mindset, someone can be an experienced gym goer and still feel that gymtimidation when they go to a new gym or try new things (which you should to keep the fitness journey fun). Just enjoy the process and you'll see those beginner gains before you know it! ❤
you are my comfort person, you are so natural in everything you do
also happy belated birthday!!! wish you all happiness in the world ❤
Love you Kay, keep going we are proud of you girl 💖
"good mornings" are good to start off with when learning how to do RDLs. helps you get used to that hinge motion in your hips and that slight bend in your knee towards end of that eccentric movement. that's what they had us do in weightlifting class in HS before we "graduated" to RDLs lol. props to you kayli! good luck on your fitness journey!
I am very excited for this series. I've always had a hard time starting the gym and you're motivating me to go back. I just worry about eating right and balancing everything in order for workouts to be effective and worth the time. I am looking forward to these videos. Ily !!!
girl PERFECT timing! I just GOT MY MEMBERSHIP today and Im SO BEYOND excited!!!!!❤ WE GOT THIS!!!!
This video is literally giving me so much confidence to get into the gym and I'm loving this new series so much
Thank you so much Kayli for showing us your experience!! I’m so nervous to go to the gym myself but you’re inspiring me and empowering me to do it!! ❤
So proud of you! Can’t wait to watch the rest of your journey! Would love to see an in depth split and what you’re eating 💕💕💕
I love that you have been so active here on youtube! Ily
Hi girly!
You started ur fitness journey around the exact time as you and it’s been hard on me. I’m an extremely insecure person so it’s been tough for me to push myself to going almost every day, even if it’s just for a walk because I feel like I won’t change or love myself. When at the gym I felt like everyone was judging me and I’ve only done treadmill and stair master because I get anxious with others being there. So seeing your journey makes me feel a lot less alone in this! Thank you so much for your positive energy.
I would love a video on ur workout outfits n equipments
I love this new serie ❤ I am starting going to the gym and I feel you girl, you can do ittt✨
I absolutely LOVE how honest you are! Tiller is the sweetest! You got this, Girl! 💪🏻🖤😘
As you do this more you'll learn how your body feels with the different movements! So the reverse deficit lunges, you'll slowly know what is too much and what is you limiting yourself. You'll get used to pushing through the pain and discomfort and doing so will make you feel so powerful! Congrats on a good first gym experience!!
I think you did awesome! The more you go, the more comfortable you will get and find the exercises you like to do most. The RDLs are more of a hip hinge, less squat, but honestly I think the deadlift is one of the hardest lifts to get right! Just takes time. Even 10 years into lifting, it is still a constant effort to make sure my form is on point! Keep up the great work.
Love the confidence of you adding more weight after- can't wait to see you progress it feels SO good to be strong ✨
loving the new series 🫶🏼💗
if you want help feeling less sore look into active/dynamic stretches before your workouts and static stretches directly after! it helps me sm on leg days
As a gym girl trying to follow your hair tips since long ago, I'm excited for the up coming gym girl hair videossss
when I tell you I clicked so fast
So exited for you journey Kayli! So proud❤️
I've been going to the gym for YEARS and it always makes me soooo happy to see new girlies come to my gym and work on themselves, don't worry if you don't get everything right at first ! Your form is going to improve over time and it's ok to make mistakes in the beginning, we all did. I can only really speak for myself but i know most people are like me, we're not judging you in the gym, we're in our own heads most of the time lol.
you go girl! you're doing so good I'm proud of you 🥲
I love these videos, it helps me to stay motivated to going to the gym and continuing my journey! I love you Kayli!!💗💗
As someone who’s grown up in the gym, this was such a fun video to watch! Love you internet big sis! ❤❤❤
Heyyy as someone who also just started to go to gym this month I really appreciate your video cause it made e feel less alone also motivated too so please continue this series and yeah I would love to know the details of your weekly routine too...love you 🩷
Your personality is so likable
Hi love! I’m a PT and nutrition coach here in FL & all I gotta say is getting started is the hardest part. Once you find a routine that works for you, stick with it. Don’t get caught up in the fad diets and etc.. do what works for you. And it’s trial & error if you don’t have a coach; so try different things out and don’t be afraid to experiment.
Love you Kayli!!!! 💞💞
You're doing great Kayli !! As a gym girlie i'm so proud of you
This was so relatable, please keep doing these kind of videos ❤
ahh I'm always happy to see your videos
I love this new series so much❤
love this series soooo much
If you’re going to be filming at the gym you should consider blurring people’s faces for their privacy
love this series please post more of these!! x
PROUD OF YOU WOOOO LETS MAKE IT A HABIT 🩷 YOU GLOW GIRL
i love how supportive your boyfriend is to you! cutest couple ever
Yes we want you to document everything and share more about your journey so that we will be motivated... love you
i stopped going to the gym about a year ago bc ✨life✨ but this literally is motivating me to go again
ty for this, it honestly made me motivated to start going and not be so hard on myself!
I would love to see a gym-friendly weekly hair care routine!!
I was literally on edge, waiting for this episode!!!!
I am so proud of you❤️❤️
You’re doing so well, the hardest part is just starting and showing up for yourself. The best thing about exercise is that everything is scalable!
It’s a really good idea to start with 0 weight for things like the lunges, get the form right, and then build up from there!
Oh also!!! You can practice the form at home with a mirror, so your body knows what to do when you get to the gym 🥰
This is SO inspiring! I'm so glad you have started this journey. I really want to join in March! You'll be my motivation!😉 Beginner girlies!🤪💖💅💪
OMG So excited for the new vid
Really proud of you for going to the gym!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
you inspired me kayli
thank you sm❤
ok now i need to go to the gym cause ive never gone and have been scared. now i need to go.
I am loving the work out content
I love you Kayli!
So proud of you Kayli!!!!!!! The gym is definitely very intimidating at first but soon it'll feel like a second home!!!! And trust me, no one cares what you're doing, they're all focusing on themselves!!!!!!
Love your fitness and healthy lifestyle journey vlog KB! ❤❤
you are my comfort creator!
You filmed your first time there! Inspiring, I’ve been going for years and 🎥 has got me scared lol
As a gym girlie, who has been consistently working out for 2 years, I think gym community is the most supportive and welcoming community. It’s great your boyfriend is there to guide you. I guess the best advice is to work on your mind muscle connection, it’s literally everything when growing any muscle! I am so proud of you for doing this, you’ve got this!
YES MY FAVORITE INFLUENCER POSTED!! ❤❤
Can you do A video of how you take care of your hair throughout a gym- week?
Going to the gym is stressful!! I relate. Two pieces of advice I would stress: take your time going in and out of each exercise. rushing isn't going to help you. second thing is really pay attention to your back and core; you don't want to be arching into other exercises and compensating. can cause back problems down the line. also relax your neck!
you go girl!!!!
Good for you! You are so beautiful! The world needs you!
Also RDL’s vs SLDL (straight leg deadlifts) RDL’s you want that bend in your knee which is PERFECT, but imagine you have something on the crease of your hip, and hinge at your hip. And only go up when you feel that stretch in your hamstring and glutes. SLDL mainly target your hamstrings. you want to make sure you only slightly bend your knees & take that weight past your knees to get that stretch in your hamstrings. For a challenge, place a plate under your feet
Stair master is hands down my favorite!
I been watching youtube for so long and i don’t know what your channel has that i am completly hooked on your videos, maybe i like that you don’t only focus on aesthetics but ACTUALLY creating content? I feel like youtube was so helpful some years ago, but now it’s filled with more “aesthetic” and superficial content, more general to appeal to all audiences…. It’s my feeling, who knows!! Thanks Kayli, keep up!
I love fitness videos Kayli!!
Me getting excited to see girly pop doing better
Kayli can you please do a video about all your hairstyles you do for gym days.
SHE has posted :D i love your Videos so so muchhh 😍
Loving this new series! Yes, please post a workout clothing vid! I’m OBSESSED with your black low back bodysuit and I’d really like to know where it’s from! Also, how do you maintain your hair after working out? I’m assuming you’re not washing your hair more often than before? Keep up the good work! You’re doing amazing! ♥️
For first time in the gym your outfit is so cute babe- def look the part
Girl that is so good❤❤❤❤❤
I definitely agree with having a gym buddy, I personally get way too much anxiety going by myself 😂❤
Preworkout is not regulated by the FDA! It’s not considered food, so there aren’t regulations for what can be in it, if you are looking for an energy boost before exercising I would recommend having a shot of cold brew and something with a little bit of sugar to keep you going
as a gym girly myself i can remember how scary the first time was but you did such great job! Be careful with rdl´s at the beginning, it´s really hard to get the correct form. maybe start with squats, kickbacks and hipthrust and glute bridges (they are a bit easier to do) love your content btw!
Please do a clothing and meal prep video I love these videos they are definitely helping me with motivation
This video became a reminder of sports and I became enthusiastic about sports. 🎉❤
thank you for sharing you journey. Please keep posting your gym girlie series!! ADVICE: be a stretching girlie. I've tore my calf muscle not stretching before runs.
Good job girl!!
