@@dsabo yeah okay, this actually helps. I finally ordered a chess board so I will have a good way to study both with the board and the material that's available online. Many times it's difficult to try different variations and lines to see if they work or not when you are stuck only with a computer. Therefore I want the option to put down the position on a physical board aswell. I only know all the known theory openings very shallowly, like 5-10moves deep on the main lines and only 2 variations up to 15 moves, the kings indian for black as a response to d4 and the scotch opening as white against e5. As you said I should look more deeply into the openings and learn how to react to certain variations and also understand why those moves are good. You made me realize this. I do have 1 question though. Should I only stick to 2 openings per color like queens gambit and scotch as white and kings indian against d4 and maybe the sicilian against e4 and maybe learn open and closed sicilian variations. I feel like learning to many openings as a beginner in more deeper theory moves can be too much. Or maybe I should learn only 1 opening and various variations as white and then put more effort into defending as black. Like kings indian, sicilian open and closed or maybe caro-kann

I can't imagine understanding this game so well that you can play these 1-minute matches so well at this level. I can barely follow the action at this speed; there's no way I could play half this well with such time constraints.

At 6:10, Nf5+ wins the queen, and at 6:13, the same stands... I saw this as soon as Magnus played Qc3 and I'm only 1150. Is this such a basic mistake that they are not used to look for it at high level unless it's a continuation of a forced sequence, or why didn't they see it? I thought Magnus played the queen move specifically for this.
